Gamer lies dead in internet cafe for 9 HOURS before anyone notices

A young gamer lay dead in an internet cafe in Taiwan for nine hours before anyone noticed.
Chen Rong-yu, 23, is thought to have suffered a heart attack after playing League of Legends for 23 hours.
He was apparently still sat on the chair with his hands stretched out in front of the keyboard as if he was still playing in the cafe in New Taipei City.

A waitress only realised he was dead after rigor mortis had set in.
None of the other 30 gamers around him had realised anything was wrong.
He went to the internet cafe on Wednesday and had been playing games solidly.
Chen Rong-yu was last seen making a phone call at around midday on Wednesday.

As the gamer took regular nap breaks they were not that alarmed to see him slumped in the chair.
Initial tests revealed he died after suffering a heart attack brought on by low temperatures, fatigue and lack of movement.
His family told the authorities he had been treated for a heart condition in September.

The things one sees in internet cafés. I have had two weird experiences before I stopped going to them (I needed them when I was waiting for the internet to be connected at my house). The first: I was checking my e-mail and the man sitting next to me got a telephone call and he started talking very loudly, then he placed a call to a woman. Turns out that he was a pimp and he was organising some "entertainment" for a guy. The second: I was applying for university stuff online and I noticed that a guy was in the corner watching adult films and touching himself. I didn't go back again after that. Disgusting, foul places.

They also smell of body odour and carbonated, sweetened drinks.

No, gaming and gambling are two distinct subjects. There's no relation.

Reminds me of this episode of CSI where a 450 pound gamer is found dead on his couch, and revealed to be wearing diapers to save the time he would use to go to the bathroom... yuck indeed...

Trust me they are... It's a very real issue, and one that many refuse to address. Take it from me, I've had dark days where I would play almost 16 hours in one day, but thankfully I've shaken it off with some regressive counselling.

You need to see the south park episode of "world of warcraft"

There's a scene where Cartman and the others become so obese and lazy due to constant gaming, that Cartman has to call in his mum everytime to hold a bucket while he defecates.

It is just a cartoon... but one that is highly satirical.

I hate that game. I go to a high school in Sweden where all students lease a Macbook with an option of buying it after graduation. Whenever the teacher wants to show some documentary on the internet it's impossible because the class next to us play League of Legends all the time (bandwith problems).
