Umm, no. I don't want to bomb or attack anyone in Lebanon. What's wrong with you? However, you probably smile when you hear about more and more Syrians dying.
You and I both know Hezbollah will drastically weaken when the Syrian regime falls. That was my point.

Let me remind you since 1982, till about 1990 or so, Hezbollah had the Syrians against them, and israel against them. Which means both borders weren't for Hezbollah's benefit.

Hizb's constituency in Lebanon is over 50%. With bunch of rich Sunnis and turn coat Lebanese Christians already fled from the country, the real foot on the ground Hizb constituency is over 60%.
If it ever came to this, that is Syria swinging over the other side, either by Asad's falling or by Asad's change of heart, two things will happen:
1. Total takeover of Shia in Lebanon. No more hand in glove kind of things where Shia majority is currently living with seemingly low influence despite having a clear majority in Lebanon. Constitution will be rewritten, electoral rules will be changed, and Lebanon will become another openly Shia sovereign nation no matter how much it would be disliked by Sunnis or Christians or Druze.
2. New Lebanon will openly ask direct financial and military aid from now shaping eastern block of Iran, China, and Russia.
Do you think all the hard work done by Lebanese Shia in last three decades would be hinging on flakey Syria only??? One thing that we all need to realize is that Shia of Iran and Lebanon are not dumb selloff GCC Arabs, they have already envisioned next 10 moves before they act upon one.
I see a while lot of political interest on SC forums which is a good thing, (political dumbness is a Sin and a Crime specially if you are a Shia), I suggest everybody to study a book or two on "game theory" and "strategy" if you want to read the great game being played between the West and the Shia crescent. I ensure you, you will be intrigued, fascinated, and get the adreline rush much more than watching the Matrix.
Peace.

What makes you think that the constitution will be rewritten if Assad falls? Is assad somehow preventing Shias from totally taking over in Lebanon?
Iran, Russia and China seems a rather unhohly alliance to me. What do they have in common except lack of democracy and human rights? (But OTOH maybe this is enough.)

However, my guess is that if Syria is no longer an ally they would fight using different tactics than they did in the last war. My guess is that they would strike deep inside Israel to cause a political backlash in Israel that would halt their expansionist warmongering. They are very smart and they will not be isolated no matter what.

2. Israel would love it if it has enemies around itself. It'll give them an excuse to fight wars and manifest their expansionist agendas. It's doing the same thing right now with the newly emerging so called Islamist govts in Egypt and soon-to-be Syria.

1) "The show?" I know you're not a big fan of the majoos... but are you sure you're not Iranian yourself??? The level of insight in your conspiracy theories are so high... I would have guessed your last name is jackson! You should move to Iran and get Iranian papers. Your lovely, insightful theories would be at home there.
2) Israel doesn't need any goddamn enemies to start a war. Israel bombs hospitals and bridges and orphanages for God's sake. Do you even think before you speak? Israel NEEDS Hezbollah in order to start wars? And they want to start these wars so they can LOSE and get embarrassed? That's all part of "the show?" Get the hell outta here dude...
