YES. most of us arent in some kind of village where theres nothing for a woman to do except make naan all day.
those poor women. no life
Someone picked up the head of Hussain: "These lips that kissed The Prophet now kiss the dust."

"Sometimes you find requests are not immediately granted. Do not be disappointed. Fulfillment of desires rest in the true purpose or intention of the prayer. More often fulfillment is delayed because merciful Lord wants to bestow upon you suitable rewards. In the meantime bear patiently hardships, believing sincerely in His help. You will get better favours, because, unknowingly you may ask for things which are really harmful to you. Many of your requests, if granted, may bring eternal damnation. So at times, withholding fulfillment is a blessing in disguise."

The Perfect Man is the guy who expects nothing from you except your affection.

And in return, he displays even more affection and gives without you asking.

Don't worry.  I'm sure he is out there.  Just stay positive, insha'Allah and i'm sure Allah will reward you with a bit more than just a pulse that wants to marry you.

What would your perfect man/woman be?

Hello Salaam786,

Cool thread!

I agree with you about the perfect man being good with kids! That's very important to me too.

For me, the perfect man (for me) is my husband!!! :)

He loves God more than he loves me.
He is funny and likes to see me laugh and smile.
He is kind and does sweet things for other people and me.
He is loving and his family and friends can depend on him for help no matter what.
He is strong and can left tons of weights! (well I don't know how much, but he can lift a lot! He likes working out.)
He is competitve and never lets me win sigh, but I like that. I don't like it when people let me win. I adore challenges.
He is caring and if I am sad, he tries to comfort me.
He is a good driver and a very hard worker, and he is a wonderful provider!
He likes to read the Bible with me and pray together.
He likes to hang out with family and friends together, and go to church and places together.
He doesn't complain when I am moody or senstive or emotional. He just jokes about it.
He likes kids and I think will be a great father someday if God wills!
He is good with finances and with money. I hate both finances and money yuck!
He is responsible, on time, and a man of his word.
He is very handsome and unique in his appearance.
He doesn't scare me, hurt me, or abuse me in any way.
He is not afraid to speak up if someone is doing wrong.
He is a gentleman and treats women with respect and kindness.
He does't curse or use crude language.
He doesn't look at other women.
He is trustworthy and faithful.
His first language is Spanish (I love Spanish!)
He is affectionate and gentle and playful and fun to be with!

He is the perfect man for me.

Peace and God bless you

What is "the world" except the forgetfulness of God.

It is not family, possessions, wife and children.

Hello Anarchist,

Except not every husband needs to speak Spanish. :P (though Spanish is such a beautiful, romantic language!)

I am glad people are praying for other people, that God gives them wonderful husbands! My Mom prayed for me a lot. I agree with Strugling on... may God bless women who are wanting to get married with wonderful husbands, and may God help men to be wonderful husbands and women to be wonderful wives!

Peace and God bless you

Wow tough question

But will try to put in a short answer that makes sense.

For me a Woman that knows and sticks to the basics, and strives to do better

As if they cant do the basic things there aint much hope the much else imo.

Some one always willing to learn more, to compromise and understand and see things for the bigger picture

To explain, and be resonable.
thats the gist of it.

BTW i'm not agree with this,  but there are always something wrong with him/her: if she has a great aklaq and family, she is not firm in Islam, if she is a good muslim, her family is not good and their aklaq also.. always something wrong.. :(

Salam; inshaAllah pray that everyone is well.

Okay so have had a long read; sometimes inspired, sometimes disappointed :-/

So it's a shame that apparently the guys' threads on The Perfect Wife were apparently a bit dull and shallow but sisters, it's a bit unfair to generalise. Since you're asking:

The Perfect Wife: [in no particular order]
1. Supportive of her husband
2. Soul-mate; confidant; friend; intimate.
3. Hijab-practising [physical + social]
4. Understands Islam; knows her obligations, just as she expects he husband to know his.
5. Has conquered her feminine nafs, just as she expects here husband to have conquered his i.e. not wasting away in front of the television watching sports on a Saturday when he should be taking his kids to the park or helping his wife. The same way, a pious wife won't demand her husband to spend his earnings on buying her expensive clothes/lifestyle, when her husband would much rather give his money in charity.
6. Thirsty for knowledge of Islam, and doesn't mind her husband studying Islam even though he works hard in a busy profession. Would study alongside him, and would aid him in community-endeavours (preaching, madressas, leading the local mosque etc.)
7. Doesn't mind helping her husbands mother and family in basic household chores, because she knows it will bring her jannah (need I mention the hadith).
8. Will appreciate her husband's love, affection and worry for her, even though his life is so hectic that she can't imagine (studying, working, caring for parents, maintaining ties with relatives, going to the mosque, playing an active role in the community, political activism, preaching Islam, keeping up wajibaat etc. etc.).
9. Will not let the negative aspects of culture tear apart her family;
10. Will make herself look pretty and be beautiful when her husband is around, since this brings chemistry and fun to a relationship. Her husband would therefore take special care of his appearance/grooming when he was around her. Those who say that being beautiful isn't important seriously need to come down to reality; it definitely is.
11. Would like to go to Iran/pilgrimages/hajj all the time.
12. An important one: will bring up her husband's children as true soldiers of the Imam; for this, her husband would treat her like a Queen.

Just a few thoughts; us guys aren't all bimbos are we?
