Good idea bro, insha'Allah after the 40 days you are able to continue doing this every singly day for the rest of your life, that way you will be using this life to prepare for the afterlife, however do take out some spare time for yourself.
And he (Imam Musa al-Kazhim) عليه السلام said:
Strive that your time be four hours: an hour for confiding with Allah, an hour for the affair of (one’s) livelihood, an hour for associating with the brethren and trustworthy people who inform you of your faults and are sincere with you on the inside, and an hour in which you retire for the pleasures that are not forbidden. And with this hour you can manage the three (other) hours. Do not think to (lit. converse) yourselves about poverty or the length of life, for verily one who thinks to himself about poverty becomes miserly and one who thinks about the length of life becomes greedy. Make a share for yourselves from the dunya by giving it what it desires from the halal and what does not defile manliness and what one is not heedless (?) in it (or, what there is no extravagance/transgression in it). And by that seek help over the affairs of the religion, for verily it is narrated that “Not from us is one who abandons his dunya for his religion or abandons his religion for his dunya.” (Tuhaf al-`Uqool)
