Salam,


I'm trying to create a macro using excel and my experience with macros is very basic.  I need the macro to control an external application. To be more specific, the macro needs to start the programme, click the 'Open' option and select the file to open. It then needs to go through a routine process of clicking buttons. It basiclly automates a mundane process.

I know we can use 'SendKeys' to carry this all out using a macro, but this is flakey and I was wondering what a more reliable method would be.
