Ponder over this: What are you doing to help your imam (atfs)?

Then post what you are doing here, and if you aren't doing anything then ask yourself "what can I do to help my Imam (atfs)"

Remember, our Imam (atfs) is waiting for us, we are not waiting for him.

beside praying for zohoor,I m trying to increase my Knowledge (marefat) about Imam Zaman (as)  and also make my Yaqeen stronger. cuz when you don't know your imam (as) very well how you can be useful in his army after Zohoor?
in the same time, I m trying to recognize my weaknesses and removing them cuz I m sure  weakness stops  me to reach to higher level of marefat about Imam Zaman (as).

Actually I m helping myself right now, Imam Zaman (as) doesn't need our help, we need his help to guide us.
we should reach to that level of yaqeen and marefat that when Imam (as)  rises , he accepts us as his true followers.inshallah

I keep on praying again and again and again and again and .. For what it is I hope for .. Especially in terms of zuhur .. For half my life now.

At the same time striving to keep an open heart, mind, eyes, ears .. So as to be on guard and hopefully be able to seize the opportunity Allah-willing when it arises . Also in order to recognize and identify prophesised individuals .. While learning from past imams n prophets (pbut) in order to tune our iman into theirs .. Like calibration somehow.

^ Nice Reply

This thread has had 60 views with 1 comment.

I don't know if someone viewing it more than once makes it come up with an extra "view" so let's say it was viewed by 40 different people rather than 60.

Let's say out of these 40, 5 didn't bother to comment. That leaves us with 35.

Out of those 35, 1 person commented, meaning that Only 1 person out of those 35 (Actually out of 60 but I made it less just incase) is doing something for the Imam (atfs).

I hope the other 35 (more or less) are pondering on what they can do to help the Imam (atfs).

And Najva you are absolutely right we need his help and guidance, but at the same time we need to use his help and guidance to hasten his return, because he will only return when he has enough pious followers, so as long as we are sitting around thinking when is Imam (atfs) going to come I am going to fight in his army la-da-da-de-da we should (like you) be trying to increase our knowledge and also we should be praying mustahab prayers with the intention of the reward going to Imam (atfs) and various other things.

[A reminder to myself aswell as others]

Listen, I dont want to burst ur bubble but this exact same thread has appeared a million times on SC, thats why u had 60 views and one reply from a fairly recent member.

I dont know how many times I have seen it.

I know u have good intentions but everytime I see this its like, what do u think, we arent all waiting for Imam (atfs) why do u think that just cause no one said something on YOUR thread that the world is gonna end.

Buddy just calm down, making these thread is okay but dont gage our interest in the Imam (atfs) by the interest on YOUR thread on a website.

Sorry for being harsh but someone had to say it, this website has been around for a while and this question has been asked multiple times

You need new material...

As-salam-alaykum brother,

Unfortunately some people (that includes me) tend to procrastonate on the preparation for the Imam(ATFJ). Maybe perhaps aml (action) and yaqeen(belief) are intertwined in the sense one builds on the other.

Or perhaps for some us the aamals and duas one needs to do for the Imam(ATFJ) might seem or made to be seem daunting to us. I believe shiatan tries to warD Us off from knowing the Imam(AJTFJ) by making us procastronate ("you can always pray later") or by making it seem difficult (your so sinful).

I propose we start out simple by doing one simple act of knowing the Imam(AJTFJ) today. I propose this:

Everyday for 5 minutes we think about the Imam(ATFJ). Ask ourselves what we have done for him(ATFJ). Talk to him (ATFJ) and ask him(ATFJ) to bring us close to him(ATFJ). I AM CONFIDENT THAT IF DONE WITH A SINCERE INTENTION, IT WILL DEFINITELY LEAD TO AN INCREASE IN EEMAN (BELIEF) AND AMAL(ACTION).

about a year ago i had a dream in which it was ashura and women were doing matam. someone said, "imam mehdi (as) is coming!" and i ran for it. i was thinking in my head, "sorry imam, but im scared for my life, i hope you'll forgive me."
maybe it meant nothing, but i became really paranoid. it was as though Allah was telling me "your faith isn't strong enough." im trying (and failing, i think) to become a better person.
its really hard to change yourself and become a better person, but inshallah we will all be guided in time for the arrival of our Imam (as).
Someone picked up the head of Hussain: "These lips that kissed The Prophet now kiss the dust."

"Sometimes you find requests are not immediately granted. Do not be disappointed. Fulfillment of desires rest in the true purpose or intention of the prayer. More often fulfillment is delayed because merciful Lord wants to bestow upon you suitable rewards. In the meantime bear patiently hardships, believing sincerely in His help. You will get better favours, because, unknowingly you may ask for things which are really harmful to you. Many of your requests, if granted, may bring eternal damnation. So at times, withholding fulfillment is a blessing in disguise."

brother, am impressed with your open honesty .. that show strength. i believe that it's ok what you went through because it seems to take practice to gain strength .. also in the dream world.

when i was younger i used to read quran i my dreams when i was in trouble, and nothing used to happen .. however these days when i read quran in my dream it is crushingly powerful alhamduliLahi Rabb el Aalameen ..

same goes for fighting in dreams .. when i was younger i used to get scared and paralyzed in dreams and the more you try the better you get in dreams .. and you start to become more and more invincible in the dream world :)

sweet dreams everyone :) wishing you strong imam, bravery, courage and Allah's support in the worlds haidernyc

(im actually a sister haha) thank you. i actually had a bit of a freaky dream again, but it had nothing to do with the imam (as).
but have you ever wondered-- what if you actually turn out to become the imam's enemy? its a thought thats crossed my mind countless times, but i'll be honest-- i havent really done much after thinking about it :donno:
how does one get motivated enough to actually do something? whenever i listen to speeches, i feel so inspired, but as soon as i come home, the enlightenedness wears off ):

^^ of course that thought goes through my mind many times .. i think our minds are a bit like radio and sometimes things cross our minds that are not even our thoughts .. kind of like interference .. good to read surat al nas, where it talks about Allah protecting us from "waswasah fi sudur al nas" .. it's like whispering in our hearts .. . i think it's normal.

i think the best way to stay inspired is to have a constant connection with Allah .. talk to Him .. pray to Him and ask him what it is you want .. that's my guess .. maybe some other brother / sister can help out more ..

all the best to you sister .. hope Allah protects you from interference, and keeps you focused on what's best for you

(salam)

and about your dreams .. i think we all go through phases where we have weird dreams .. may Allah protect you in the dream world and this world as well .. hopefully with time you'll overcome all obstacles in your dreams and wake up from any dream happy with the experience .. and go to bed happy with the day .. read the fatha at least b4 sleeping or something .. that will guarantee your protection insha Allah

(salam)

we are the representatives of Islam so we should behave like the way muslims should to the world, with out neighbors, friends, and especially family. Lers not be horrible to people, or take away the rights of others, and be an example to follow and InshAllah if we do this with the purest of intentions to become closer to Allah (swt) then Imam (atf) will be happy with us aswell. I heard something recently that shocked me and made me reflect on my actions a lot, that when we commit a sin its like (and im finding this difficult to type) hitting our Imam (atf)...

we should spend more time reflecting on our actions and their impact on ourselves, those around us and to the message of Islam. Remember that the angle of death comes to visit us 5 times a day until one day when there wont be anyone else left in the house. (Ive heard that its during salat times and if you pray on time then your departure will be easier, and if you dont pray on time then it will be excruciating), lets stop doing haraam lke listening to music, not observing hijab with your appearance (eyes, mouth, body and heart) and being rude to our parents and lets do more halaal as its our jihad-un nafs and may Allah (swt) forgive us all and help us to become better muslims InshAllah

Also, lets hold more discussion circles at mosque, or in our homes about Islam, pray for our Imam (atf) do Zirayat Ashura for his safety and quick re-appearance and be good mulims, because although we cant see him, he can see us and knows what we do, so when his zuhur does come then he will know who to call and we want to be the ones he calls and InshAllah through the positive changes we make in our lives we will InshAllah be by his side

Nice dream sister :)

do you mind if I tell you the meaning behind it  ? if so , PM me .

Salamalaikum

Besides praying for his ajf return, knowing religion,  waiting with patience, striving to do amal I don't want to be amongst those who may ask imam ajf for a mojuza for a proof that it is imam ajf. I don't know why but Salman,  ABA zar, ammar, miqdad never demanded a mojuza to believe in rasool Allah saww. They just recognized him saww or rasool Allah saww recognised their imaan. The same goes for the awaited one.

Imam Reza a.s. Says: One who Claims that he is greater than a Slave(Abd) of Ali a.s., he is definately Misguided.

Abase Yourself in Front of the Paths(14 Masoomeen a.s.) to Your Rabb

Imam jafar as sadiq a.s said: That a monk from bani Israel worshipped Allah azwj so much that he became like a dry stick.Allah azwj revealed to the hujja of that time to go and say to him that. Allah azwj says: by my greatness might and power even if you wworship Me till you melt like something in the cooking pot I will not accept it from you anything until you come to Me from the door I have ordered for you.

I'm trying to be a better person because Hadis has it that nothing separates one from the Imam (a) except the veil of one's sins.. Need to get rid of that veil!

I'm trying to make up for all my Qadha prayers and fasts and pay all my religious debts because I know that a person like me who hasn't even succeeded in fulfilling their Wajibat yet would be of no use to Imam e Zamana (atf).

Do not walk proudly on the earth; your feet cannot tear apart the earth, nor are you as tall as the mountains.
