Posted Image لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ {1}
[Shakir 106:1] For the protection of the Qureaish--
[Pickthal 106:1] For the taming of Qureysh.
[Yusufali 106:1] For the covenants (of security and safeguard enjoyed) by the Quraish,
إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ {2}
[Shakir 106:2] Their protection during their trading caravans in the winter and the summer--
[Pickthal 106:2] For their taming (We cause) the caravans to set forth in winter and summer.
[Yusufali 106:2] Their covenants (covering) journeys by winter and summer,-
فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَٰذَا الْبَيْتِ {3}
[Shakir 106:3] So let them serve the Lord of this House
[Pickthal 106:3] So let them worship the Lord of this House,
[Yusufali 106:3] Let them adore the Lord of this House,
الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُمْ مِنْ جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُمْ مِنْ خَوْفٍ {4}
[Shakir 106:4] Who feeds them against hunger and gives them security against fear.
[Pickthal 106:4] Who hath fed them against hunger and hath made them safe from fear.
[Yusufali 106:4] Who provides them with food against hunger, and with security against fear (of danger).

The words of this Surah don't rhyme..so you can't even given that.

Now the content doesn't look all to amazing to me...

It also seems to a weak way of saying why people should worship God for it would be even a weak reasoning to know he exists...if it's connected to the Surah before..then really a story that they don;t know if it's true seems to be a weak reason...and it seems even weaker when this Surah is suppose to be universal for humanity.

But the thing which makes it really bad, is that background of this Surah is that you have to believe it's beyond capability of a human...

A human cannot write this...it's too great for a human being to do....

How can anyone honestly look at this Surah and come up with that? That the Surah is beyond human? It must be divine?

Really when people talk about Quran in general, they just praise it so much, but look at this Surah and tell me what is so great about it?

I can't even see how it's great at all, let alone super great to the extent it's beyond human.

Uhh yes it does rhyme. Quraysh... sayf... bayt. And once it draws you in, the last line is then an explosion that stays with you. And that's just your first sentence yet look how wrong it is. Perhaps that should be food for thought

Ok I checked definition of rhyme, and I guess their is broader definition, and this a certain type of rhyme. I had a more narrow definition of rhyme when I said that. But you are correct, it's a certain type of rhyme (not the type I had in mind).

If the kaba was destroyed, would Quraysh be disunited and there be no love between them? Is this a reason they should Worship God? What does it mean they are free from fear...does it mean that they have no fear of diseases, sickness, etc? What about fear of afterlife?

Is there is no hungry Quray[Edited Out]e, no poor quray[Edited Out]e?

I honestly can't make sense of this Surah let alone see it great, let alone great beyond human...

I am sort of picking at the weak link type thing.

I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt when assuming you haven't read my summary of the I.A. article in your topic "Can't copy anyone's style completely?". Read it and God willing you will finally understand what the Quran is presenting as inimitable in every individual sura, what is truly 'beyond human'.

Leaving aside the question of inimitability, your skepticism is beyond reproach because you provide the most irrelevant and pointless questions not even the most prejudiced missionaries out there put forth against the Quran. Allow me to demonstrate:

If the kaba was destroyed, would Quraysh be disunited and there be no love between them?

Well we don't know the unseen, so how would we know?

Is this a reason they should Worship God?

Being assured against famine and destruction, it certainly does make the sacred ground more reason to worship the Almighty.

What does it mean they are free from fear...does it mean that they have no fear of diseases, sickness, etc?

Fear of destruction (theres a sura in the Quran comparing the barbaric wilderness and fighting surrounding mecca in contrast to its 'amaana' i.e. security); khawf also encompasses the natural disasters which Mecca has been historically immune from. In effect this...

What about fear of afterlife?

...is a completely irrelevant and pointless question.

Is there is no hungry Quray[Edited Out]e, no poor quray[Edited Out]e?

Does providing a tribe sustenance thereby preventing famine have any relation to poverty at all? The Quraish were the wealthiest tribe in Arabia by the way.

Yes there are ayas that warn us from doing that. You see .. Religion is an attitude.

Read Quran with open heart = more understanding
Read Quran with doubtful heart = less understanding

So the weak link here is in your 'mind' .. Instead of being in awe of the clear miracles in the Quran .. I hope Allah guides you before it's too late mr mystic knight
