As Salaam O Alaikum

I hope everyone had a great Eid, may we all live to see next Ramadan insha Allah

I am looking to improve my knowledge about the history of Islam. I'd be grateful if someone could recommend books which I can use to do this. Preferably, I'd like books which go all the way from Prophet Muhammad 's life to the Imam of our time (ATF). I'm interested in any significant events that happened, dates of these events, rulers of their time, and any other information that is related to history. I guess what I want is essentially a timeline of each of the Imams and Rasool Allah . I realize there is a lot of information here, and probably no one book can provide me with all the answers I want, but I want to learn, and I'm willing to invest time in it,; I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out here.

I'd prefer books to online material, but I'm open to any links that anyone can provide.

you should definitely try to get your hand on "a restatement of the history of islam and muslims" by syed ali asgher razvwy. its the most amazing book about islamic history, and its in english.
