I came across this Quiz.
http://www.selectsmart.com/RELIGION/

Just give it the answers you think are best and it tries to tell you from a big list of religions and sects which you are closest to. Of course it may not be entirely accurate and its a bit rigid in it's choices but still the results are interesting.

These are my results (top ten)

1. Islam (100%)
2. Orthodox Judaism (100%)
3. Bahai (89%)
4. Sikhism (94%)
5. Jainism (85%)
6. Reform Judaism (76%)
7. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (67%)
8. Orthodox Quaker - Religious Society of Friends (65%)
9. Mainline - Liberal Christian Protestants (65%)
10. Mainline - Conservative Christian Protestant (63%)

Come on, give it a go!

This in my opinion is a superior quiz - http://www.beliefnet...liefOMatic.aspx (Click the red get started button, took me awhile to see it) Damn...its the same quiz..Actually...hell question seems different perhaps

I don't like how they put "not sure" with the often atheistic belief. It would skew the quiz somewhat...

I could of answered one question with two answers, being agnostic, i answered the atheistic ideas but also if a true religion/god exists, what traits i would want to see in it..(In hindsight...this might of skewed my answers... i might redo the quiz twice, once with my atheistic beliefs and once again with what i would look for in a religion..)

Some of the questions i wasn't sure of what i would believe in a religion, specifically the conception of God in #1. Most of my answers didnt have any other logical option for me though.

Also:
4:What happens after death...
I chose the first option, i think it implied that you can be judged/punished but enter heaven eventually. If it didn't imply you could enter heaven eventually, i would choose the last option, which actually significantly altered some results. Made islam drop 8%, secular humanism rose 3%, ect.

Haha, i don't think its weighted correctly. One change made islam go down 8% but another one only changed by 3%, thats a huge gap statistically, almost triple the change.

That said, if i did believe in God, i could go for reform Judaism, i guess. Well, the kind as described in the link anyway.

I've always admired Judaism because it was the originator of the whole tradition. Seem to be slightly less big on divinely inspired prophets (yeah i know moses...) in their stories as well and focus more regular humans a little more. I used to have some decent reasons but they're slipping my mind right now haha...how convenient... it is 3am though. One thing i don't like about it though is the jews are a chosen people and the ancient tribes specifically are chosen people which would put me in an akward position if i were to convert...plus doesnt seem fair to exclude others...

I like how the link said God suffers alongside you when you suffer. Although, it still begs the question why does he allow tsunamis and things like that to exist. Surely he could design a world without them if he wanted to, so, why didnt he? Either not all powerful or not all loving.. I dont go for the idea that inflicting natural disasters upon people (often the poorest countries) is a way of testing them. These people are tested enough already...

Im suprised Scientology is on there though...i would comment but i dont want to get sued :P

I don't need to take a quiz to make SURE that I believe in one eternal lord .. the same lord as all those religion with the same prophets : Adam,Noah, Moises, Abraham, Jesus ..and so on .

Well the first time I gave this quiz I selected impersonal God as the answer to the first question and I came out a Jain. Then i realized what had happened, went back and selected personal God and lo-n-behold the quiz says now Im a Muslim-Jew. Although God I believe is ultimately impersonal since it is beyond comprehension.

Like this hadith of the Imam says;
“In the debate with the atheist who asked abu ‘Abd Allah,
‘Does Allah become pleased and displeased?’ Abu ‘Abd Allah,
recipient of divine supreme covenant, replied, ‘Yes, but not like
that which is found in His creatures. In His creatures the
pleasure is a state (hal), which enters into him and changes him
from one state to another. The creatures are hollow, active and
of compound materials with entrance to them. Nothing can enter
into our Creator. He is One, a single self and a single meaning.
His pleasure is His reward and His anger is His punishment
without anything entering in Him to motivate and change Him
from one state to another; these are attributes of His creatures
who are weak and needy.’”

This is absolutely untrue. Anybody can convert to Judaism - there is a process to follow just as there is in Islam.
