SOAS and UCLU Ahlulbayt Societies would like to invite you to attend for a talk by Sister Amina Inloes, on 'Saint Mary the blessed and Lady Fatima the Radiant', where she will be sharing with us some stories of inspiration about these great personalities.

There will also be Dua Kumayl recited by brother Hussain al Hilli after the talk.

Amina Inloes received an MA in Islamic Studies from the Islamic College in 2009 and is pursuing a PhD in Islamic Studies at Exeter University on the topic of construction of ideas about gender and women in Shi'i hadith. She also holds an MA in Teaching with an emphasis on Mathematics and is a qualified teacher who has taught a diversity of other subjects including Physics, Mathematics, and Religious Studies. She works for the Research and Publications Department of the Islamic College and is the programme leader for the MA - Islamic Studies programme.

Yeah it's a conference so it's gonna be long. I have Quran class in the morning so I may come in the middle of it if I don't have too much work! They should provide refreshments...

Oh I see, nope no new events as far as I'm aware. They'll be an arbaeen procession and when it comes close to the date I'll post it up.

Arbaeen Majalis 2012

The AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM) in conjunction with the Islamic Centre of England are organising 10 nights of English Majalis coinciding with the commemorations of Arbaeen for Imam Hussain [as] and the struggles of Sayyeda Zaynab [as], in addition to the sad demise of the Prophet Muhammad [saw] and the martyrdom of Imam Ridha [as]. The English Majalis will be delivered by Sheikh Mohammed Saeed Bahmanpour and will start oan Saturday 14th January 2012 at 8pm at the Islamic Centre of England in Maida Vale. Both brothers and sisters are welcome.

I dont know if people know already, Syed Haider Bahrul Uloom  is lecturing @ Idara e Jafferia from 8:00 pm onwards. Nearest tube station is Tooting Broadway (followed by a 5 minute walk).
