this is one of the three rings i wear on a chain round my neck at all times:

Posted Image

it is a simple square cut green aqeeq, ive never known anyone to own a green aqeeq apart from me, plus it was a gift from my mammu when he went to iran, he did massah of hazrat babul hawayej imam ar-redha (as) and sayyeda masuma e qum (sa). ive never been to ziarat there so until i inshallah do go, i keep these round my neck as the closest reminder of them

I Hate, Because I Love.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz from Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following:

"I asked abu 'Abd Allah, recipient of divine supreme covenant, 'Are love and hate part of belief?' The Imam asked, 'Is belief anything but love and hate?'

LOL i do that too :Hijabi: will you buy any more rings, or stay with these ones?

Well, I need to first of all the darker Yemeni `aqeeq resized because it's too big.  Other than that, I want a ring with a large turquoise stone like the one you see in this pic: http://en.wikipedia....n_Fadlallah.jpg

I'd also like a ring with durr al-najaf.

Very nice thread, I have 2:
Posted Image
The red one says "Ya Jawad Al Qa'im". Was bought from Syria I think.
Has touched the shrines of - Syeda Zainab, Syeda Ruqayya, Imam Hussain, Hazrat Abbas, Imam Ali (and places in Kufa such as Imam's mimbar and mehrab), Imam Kadhim, Imam Hadi, Imam Jawad, Imam Askari (Peace be upon them all).

The silver one is from Najaf, Sayed Sistani gave us one each after we met him. It has touched Imam Ali (as)'s shrine and Syeda Zainab (as)'s shrine.

Some nice rings.

While I don't have a ring collection (yet), I do collect precious stones - or I did, but I haven't added to the collection in years. Most are unpolished and uncut/shaped etc, I prefer them natural.

Here's 2 of my rings. I also have a hadeed chini one, but it isn't pictured. The multi-stone and hadeed chini ones I got from Karbala'; the sharaf al-shams (yellow ring) I got from a friend who brought it from Iran.

The multi-stone has ruby, emerald, turquoise, durr al-najaf, and aqeeq yamani.
