Social Networks like Orkut, hi5, myspace have set the ball rolling for the Daddy of all Social Networks - Facebook. Now Google is all set to challenge the supremacy of this Social Networking Giant by launching their new Social Network called Google+

Read the full story and discover the real reason behind the launch of this social networking site here Launch of Google+

This seems like a smart move by the Search Engine giant, Google since the data on the pages on Facebook are embedded, they do not show up on Search Engines, therefore to supplement the ability to retrieve information which is embedded, Google has proposed another Social Networking Site. In one way, this will be beneficial for the users looking for information on various topics which do not show up on Google whereas the negative effect would mean intrusion of privacy !!! Which is something which is not too uncommon in the recent times.

May the Best Social Netwok win ...

pretty cool huh ? but really this one from Google is "aimed" mainly at enhancing their search engine which has been reported to miss out a lot of words from webpages cause of the security settings on fb. So when we transfer accounts or build newer accounts on Google+ more words will show up on google's search engine. One's which are not appearing.

Google+ is quite nice. Allows much more targetted, directed posting, which is good if you have different social groups that you interact with in different ways. (Bosses/supervisors vs coworkers vs old friends vs parents and family vs people you share a hobby/activity/organization/interest with)

I haven't tried Google +. However, I have heard great reviews about it. It seems that after buzz and wave, Google may have a winner.

Just the fact that Data Collection is taking place on the pretext of Social Networking Platforms is harrowing.... then again how many of us are at risk financially (which is predominatly the deterring factor for giving out info on the internet).

On the other hand what it does is open up a whole new world to those seeking and there are a whole lot of positive aspects to being part of a Social Network. All we need to do is learn to use it effectively !
