QUETTA: Four days after 26 passengers of a bus were lined up and shot dead in cold blood in Mastung, three people were killed and three others injured when armed men attacked a van in the new Sariab area of the provincial capital on Friday.
According to police sources, the attackers again targeted a group of people of Hazara community who were going to the coalmine town of Mach, some 75km from here.
Quetta DIG Hamid Shakeel told Dawn the armed men on a car intercepted the van in the new Sariab area on the Quetta-Sibi highway and opened fire on the occupants. They escaped after the attack.
FC and police personnel took the bodies to the Bolan Medical College Hospital from where they were shifted to the Quetta CMH.
The police official termed it a sectarian attack.
The deceased were identified as Ali Mohammad, Ewiz Ali and Ali Khan.
A spokesman for the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, who identified himself as Ali Sher Haidari, claimed responsibility for the attack.
The 26 people killed in Mastung also belonged to the Hazara community.

QUETTA: Gunmen opened fire on Shia Muslims traveling through southwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, killing 12 people and wounding six others in the latest apparent sectarian attack to plague the country, police said.

The gunmen who attacked Tuesday were riding on motorbikes and stopped a bus carrying mostly Shia Muslims who were headed to work at a vegetable market on the outskirts of Quetta, said police official Hamid Shakeel.

The attackers forced the people off the bus, made them stand in a line and then opened fire, said Shakeel.
The dead included 11 Shias and one Sunni, he said. The wounded included four Shias and two Sunnis.

Local TV footage showed relatives wailing at the hospital where the dead and wounded were brought. One relative hugged a wounded man as another walked by, his clothes soaked with blood.

Angry men blocked the main highway on the outskirts of Quetta to protest the killings and set fire to the bus that took the dead and wounded to the hospital.

The only person that pops into my mind from the known pool of people is Imran Khan. I have never seen any dirt on his politics, i.e. has never sided with terrorist politicians or their ideologies.

they need to put their act together and defend themselves because the government can not do anything

whats the job of Iran from all this?  why don't they interfere directly and support?   I heard that hazaras are some times targeted for racist reasons too
