Pakistani state (both Pakistan army and government) is making an all out effort to block information from Gilgit Baltistan to the rest of Pakistan and international community. Upon advice by Pakistan army (ISI in particular), Pakistan government has instructed the print and electronic media to refrain from using words such as “Shia killing” or “Shia genocide” and instead use a false neutral term “sectarian violence between Sunnis and Shias”. The aim is to cover up the state-sponsored Shia genocide currently taking place in Pakistan.

On the directives of Interior Minister Rehman Malik, phone services and wireless communications were jammed in Gilgit on Wednesday, 4 April 2012, bringing communication to a standstill.

Given that Pakistani media is under instruction to refrain from reporting the full scale and extent of Shia genocide, there is very little published information on what actually happened in Chilas.

For ordinary readers, it is very difficult to get the right information about how many people have died in recent Shia massacres in Gilgit-Baltistan. Some put the numbers as high as 80.

وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنْفَ بِالْأَنْفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ ۚ فَمَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَهُ ۚ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ {45}
[Shakir 5:45] And We prescribed to them in it that life is for life, and eye for eye, and nose for nose, and ear for ear, and tooth for tooth, and (that there is) reprisal in wounds; but he who foregoes it, it shall be an expiation for him; and whoever did not judge by what Allah revealed, those are they that are the unjust.

Anything less than this for Shias in Pakistan is accepting shame and humiliation.

No need to ask army or police to do anything. Do it yourself.

Thousands Sit-in against Shia Genocide in Pakistan

Thousands of Shiite Muslims from twin City of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Sunday participated in the Majls Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) sit-in protest on outside the parliament House in protest against the Chilas tragedy, missing of Shia passengers of Chilas incident, Army crack down against Shiite Muslims and Shia genocide in Gilgit, Karachi and Quetta.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The scorching heat has not affected the emotional participants of the sit-in protest, who staged protest outside the parliament house against the killings of Shiite Muslims in Pakistan and government crackdown against the innocent people of Gilgit City.

Religious seminaries have also expressed their support to the call of the MWM and their representatives also joined the protest. Notables and professionals have also joined them for a common cause. Many eminent political, religious and social figures have also expressed their all out support to the MWM’s legitimate demands.

“Detesting the oppressors and suppressors and to help the oppressed one is part of our creed,” speaking to the sit-in, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, MWM’s chief said.

He further said that the sit-in would continue as long as all bodies of the martyrs of Chilas Tragedy were handed over to the heirs for interment, lifting of curfew for establishment of a durable peace and elimination of terrorists’ safe-havens.

Shaikh Nayyar Abbas Mustafavi, secretary general of the MWM Gilgit-Baltistan chapter said that government had not honoured its assurance that the charter of demand of Shia Muslims of Gilgit-Baltistan would be implemented.

Allama Ghulam Askari of Punjab chapter said that it is humiliation of humanity that Shia Muslims were got alighted from buses and then killed ferociously and their bodies were not identifiable because of torture on their faces.

He said that the government should act fast and arrest the people who killed passengers in Bunardas area near Chilas adding that the lives and properties of Shias across the country should be protected and safeguarded by the state. If the government does not act the people would be forced to come on the roads and demand justice.

Thousands of people are part of the sit-in and they have vowed to continue the protest till their demands were met. Some of their demands are lifting of the curfew in Gilgit city, military action against culprits in Chilas, clarification regarding the actual number of people killed in Chilas and the protection of Shia community members across the country.

Oh dear. You have evidently read my post in extreme haste because you have clearly misunderstood me. Allow me to rephrase it succinctly.

Shia of Pakistan DO need a united front against Wahhabi militant scum. But the they DO NOT need a conventional political party for that and they definitely DO NOT need a Shia militia to respond to Shia killing in a tit for tat measure. In other words, we DO NOT need Lebanonisation of Pakistan.

The way to go about this is to have a strong Shia pressure group or a powerful lobby, with access to enough print and electronic media, which can raise consciousness of the masses, regardless of their sect, about the killings of Shia (and even other minorities), through dissemination of information.

The government in charge should be forced to take necessary steps to hunt down the Wahhabi militant scum and ensure safety of not only Shia but of the innocent Sunnis too, who have also been brutally killed in their thousands in recent years.

Anything other than that, especially proposals of a Hizbuillah type Shia militia, are doomed to turn Pakistan into a more miserable cesspit of sectarianism than it currently is.

And I agree that Shia of Pakistan have a long way to go to put their act together.

Hope I have conveyed my point across.

Exactly what I am thinking. It is extremely important point. We should prepare our youth for CSS, Army, Media, Law, etc in extremely organized way. There is no other solution to this problem.

One man went to Imam Khomeini and ask him we are surrounded by enemies and they are there to kill us. So what should we do? Imam Khomeini replied to that man to prepare your children for education, this is only solution to your problem. So I think this is best way.

I request all shias of the world to please help Pakistani shias in this regard.

Iranian Grand Shia Cleric Ordered Pakistan Government to Quickly Identify and Bring Killers of Shi'a Muslims to Justice

Grand Shi'a Cleric Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi Said: Wahhabis recognize no reason, logic or laws and they brutally murder innocent people. The government of Pakistan must identify quickly, the ones who are responsible for these grievous massacres and bring them to justice so that we will not witness such crimes anymore.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in the beginning of his speech at Adham mosque offering his condolences on the death anniversary of lady Masumah (as), touched upon some of her virtues and merits then added, “the pilgrims and the inhabitants of the holy city of Qum must hold the respect of this city”.

In continuation of his speech, His eminence renounced the killing of a number of Pakistani Shia’s by radical Wahhabis and stated” unfortunately Pakistani officials along with international community remained silent with regard to this crime.

He condemned such radical violent acts of Wahhabis and continued “these Wahhabis recognize no reason, logic or laws and they brutally murder innocent people.

The Grand Ayatoallah Makarem Shirazi added that the Shi'a scholars do not permit retaliation against these acts and this very fact is a proof for truthfulness of the school of Ahlu Bayt and Shi'a.

“The government of Pakistan must identify quickly the ones who are responsible for these grievous massacres and bring them to justice so that we will not witness such crimes anymore”; his eminence stated.

He called Wahhabi extremists criminals and regarded killing innocent people, in opposition with Islamic and Quranic teachings and added “it is been reported that recently a number of Wahhabi youths have reverted to Shi'a“

He expressed hope that both Pakistani government and Iranian officials take and maintain a strong stand on this issue which hopefully be followed by international community’s stance against this phenomenon so that we will not witness such unprecedented actions which will surly remain as indelible disgrace in the history of humanity.

The Petition
Today Pakistan is mourning the victims at Chilas - a city just north of the capital, Islamabad. News of the aforementioned crimes has come to us via community leaders, scholars and relatives - not the ever so silent media channels when it comes to such serious issues. The Government of Pakistan has taken the following measures: Closed the main roads towards Chilas and Gilgit-Baltistan; disabled all means of communication and halted all flights into the area. Essentially they have given cover to the criminals and placed further stress on the victims. Interestingly, as in the past, none of the terrorists has been arrested thus far.

We the Muslim community in Dallas, Texas strongly condemn the innocent killings of Shias, The Government of Pakistan must take necessary steps to arrest the culprits behind the killings, open the roads, communication and provide the necessary protection to the community of Chilas so they can continue with their daily lives as normal Pakistani citizens.

Following are the list of atrocities committed:
• Communication has been cut off between Gilgit and rest of the world (telephone, media)
• Approximately 200 Shia Muslims were martyred in last 3 days
• Around 150 Shia Muslims' eyes are removed from their faces and their faces smashed with stones
• Government has enforced a curfew in Shia areas. So the victims are under surveillance and the criminals are free
• Ground and air transportation has been blocked between Gilgit and outside
• Police is arresting innocent Shia leaders and workers in Gilgit. So the victims are being arrested and the criminals are free
• Due to strike, general public is short of food and water in their houses
• Hurdles were created to stop Salaat-ul-Juma in Jamia Imamia Masjid.

The Croupt in in competent government of Pakistan should stop the genocide and arrest the people responsible ASAP.

Heavily armed pro-Taliban militants have shot dead at least 25 Shia Muslims at point blank range after pulling them off buses in northern Pakistan, officials say.

The incident took place in the hills of Babusar Top, around 100 miles (160 kilometers) north of the capital Islamabad.

The buses had been traveling between Rawalpindi and mainly Shiite northern city of Gilgit.

"After checking [their] papers, [the attackers] opened fire," said Khalid Omarzai, the local administration chief in Mansehra.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At least three more Shia Muslims have been killed by gunmen in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan Province.

Details regarding the exact location of the incident have not been released.

The majority of raids target the Hazara ethnic group in Balochistan Province.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At least four people, including two Shia Muslims have been killed in separate militant attacks in the town of Quetta in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province.

The Shia men, who belonged to Hazara community, were killed after unknown gunmen opened fire at their motorcycle on Brewary road near Sardar Bhadur Khan Women University in Quetta on Saturday.

The assailants escaped from the scene after the attack.

Security forces transferred the bodies of the men to a local hospital after the incident.

The relatives of the victims and large group of Hazara community reached the hospital and started protesting against the killing.
