Well Mr. Irishman I can understand ur promoting your fellow catholic fighter and am sure he's good at it like millions of other people.

And there is a difference between the spiritual and the conscious mind of course .. Especially in real life. And if ur a believer in God then you'll surely agree that all victory lies in Gods will. It's impossible to say with any certainty how a fight with your friend and me would work (God forbid) .. That reminds me of the conversations I used to have with my friends when i was an infant.

Point if this topic is not to intimidate you or me or anybody .. Its educational in the name of our God.

And concerning styles: best one studies all of them and not to win a belt and have people applause us in ring .. A rush fir the ego. The aim in advanced real martial arts us actually not to fight .. And reserve the wrath for life/death self and others defense .. Innocent people .. Remember also in the real world any object can be a weapon .. Plus the fastest runner and jumper has a giant advantage in the real life .. I refuse to hurt people anywhere .. Including ring .. When they did nothing wrong to me ..

I am not posting here to say how cool I am or how much I can kick a** .. I am posting here to help the division of the prophets family, with whatever little I can. It's more for spiritual reasons  :)

Peace! :)

Unlike millions of other people, Manny Pacquiao IS rated as the BEST pound for pound boxer currently. So its not just my opinion, unlike your opinion Quote "The only ppl smarter than Jews ( in my opinion ) are the lovely Shia Ali subhan Allah."

I'm glad you think so highly of Jews btw, its an uncommon Muslim trait it has to be said.

Well I guess God must love Manny Pacquiao more than Muslim boxers then?

No, you are trying to say Jews and Shia's are more smarter than people of other religions. If you are trying to apply it to ability to understand how to "strike", well in boxing in particular, you will probably find that nearly all world champions currently ( except Khan, and maybe one or two more ) are non-Muslim and non-Jewish, and usually South American/US./European/Cuban Christians.

Lack of fighting experience will be evident when you need to fight, and if you face a same level, but ring experienced fighter, he will beat you.

You seemed to post in a Martial Arts topic to try and make out you are smarter than people of other religions, and understand how to strike better, yet you wont go into a ring to prove it.

It has nothing to do with islam .. Our prophet told us to learn all the way to china .. So I learned this stuff from daoist and budhhist among many other religions with truth. Let me tell you one thing .. The best fighters in the world stay away from being a lord if the ring .. They don't like the limelight .. God knows and God chooses whom to give what powers. And let's all give praise to the Lord before all of us return to dust .. Back to God.

Peace Brother Irish Man

How can they know they are the best if they have not fought the other 'best' fighters?. I guess Manny Pacquiao is actually no longer the best pound for pound boxer in the world then. I am, and I dont need to get into the ring with him to prove it  :D

I'll start phoning the newspapers and Ring magazine and let them know

Anyhow, being serious. Each to their own I guess. I believe that fighting against other trained fighters, in a ring environment, with a ref around to stop someone's head being punched after they are already knocked out, or no longer capable of defending themselves, if a healthy way of learning to improve fighting skills.

If other people want to learn the 'theory or spiritual side' of fighting, well that is their choice. But if they want to claim to be the best fighter, they should be prepared to back up those words with actions.

:D Am flattered brother,

Almost feel like doing it .. Was tempted b4 and backed out of a K1 pro competition in emritaes 2 weeks b4 the fight ..

I see it as a respectable career and have plenty of friends who chose this pathb.. However i prefer making a living differently :D

So I never said that the best fighters are aware of their quality. I said Allah knows best .. Or along this line :)

And it's not about that .. I care more about others than myself anyway .. I believe a little boy can kick my a** if God so has written.

This topic needs to be moved to health and fitness section so people only compete with themselves .. Be masters of the self .. Sayed el nfs

The point in life is to become better than we were .. Not look at others and judge n compare ..

We die alone, so better face yourself and think of God and ask Him to make us stronger men

Salam to everyone, please let's be artistic fun and light about this topic .. Academic and sharing knowledge ..

Peace live love in God

we are in agreement; i studied supposed kung fu and realised it was little more than gymnastics. the only kung fu i think is useful is wing tzun sticky hands, but i guess im biased.

this is what attracted me to muay that, sure you have the culture and the tradition and the pomp and ceremony, but man it teaches you to ANNHIALATE your opponent. get in the ring and smash every hard part of your body into every soft part of his before he does the same to you.

this is why very few amateurs make it in professional boxing...they are so used to trying to land points when they get in the ring and get hit HARD and REPEATEDLY they crumble.

theory is fine, but if you want to learn how to fight then...learn how to fight. dont sit in a classroom writting essays on "why the mantis position overcomes the tiger"

Yes exactly .. Sparring is the best way to test our skills .. It's fun, mostly harmless (although accidents can happen) .. And when we realize how many options we potentially have in a hypothetical fight .. Infinite .. Then we stop trying to compare ourselves .. Except an innate feeling of temporary superiority .. Being ready and feeling strong ..

Wing chub was developed originally by a lady who went and trained at shaolin temple, and she was upset that this extreme northern, long, hard style is only suitable for super-fit men .. So she got frustrated after losing hope and moved on to develop a style which aims at having a weak opponent being able to defeat a stronger one .. Ex: woman vs. Man.
So wing chun has very easy high stances .. Not many complications .. And very effective .

She focused on idea of intercepting fist and straight lines .. So wing chun has among the highest frequency of punches per second. Legs are only used for lower body attacks .. Of course there is sticky hands etc. Bruce Lee's (xiao lo .. Little dragon) style is originally wing chun. He went on to make his own version called jet kun do ., which essentially means way of intersecting fist ..

Concerning the intercepting fist : it is along principle of attack is best defense .. The strike us used as a block or potential strike .. N if u miss it's ok .. There is another one coming up in 0.001 seconds .. And another .. So on ..

Wing chun is the most commercial and accessible branch of Chinese martial arts .. Kind of like McDonalds of martial arts .. But very good to know .. And excellent to become potential fighter in fastest way possible. Problem is that most people who study wing chun are bullies with inferiority complexes .. So they need to stroke their egos every day in training and prove they're the best .. Therefore I hardly entered any wing chun schools. They challenge me all the time!!!

Bruce lee's master is called yip man & he's the modern grandmaster legend of this style ..

Anyway .. It's an art .. Personal .. Each man chided his own style direction and stuff ..

Walaykum asalam

Street fights are real life situations

Life is a giant test .. Every situation is a test .. And martial arts is mainly for health reasons .. Good for flexibility and good circulation ..

i think so too .. they have the greatest

variety
discipline
physical education
flexibility
speed
etc
etc

i think anybody searching shaolin videos wont find any more fit people on earth .. fit-for-fight .. when i lived with them, they were super nice and have a history much like shia .. always "rebellious" against oppressive people .. that's y the shaolin temple was burnt down like 5 times and exterminated .. with a handful of monks surviving .. i love them honestly .. they're really nice

i disagree with this. many of their supposed feats of supposed superhuman strength are simply glorified party tricks and gymnastics.

martial arts like wing tzun, jeet kun do and yes even muay thai outclass shaolin when it comes to actual fighting.

i have seen videos where shaloin monks have defeated a muay thai person with ease
there is also one famous martial art in china made by muslim called something like xinguan? which i think might be stronger then shaloin

one question to all what is CHI?

of course i don't mind you asking ..

no i didn't need to speak chinese to be in china at all actually .. it was a beautiful trip and i loved china so much!! they are lovely people .. very clean and well mannered and have tons of wisdom in their culture .. i took one hour chinese a day but didn't help much ... it's a crazy language to learn, but am sure if i had focused more on language i would have learned it more .. sign language is great .. and God sent me translators here and there .. i planned the whole trip online actually .. was also VERY affordable hamdiLah

i didn't want to come back home, but i had an instinctive feeling that i had to .. also many other amazing things one can learn other than kung fu .. honestly, i dream of going back asap ..
