ewwwwww. Hijab is meant to cover hair, not make up for a lack of it.

Saam Alaikum sisters!!! (and random brothers?)

I'm really bored with my hijab, i need different styles to wear!!

Alright let me start by describing how i wear my hijab....

1) very simple, soft colors not very bright  but nice patterns :)
2) rectangle scarf, wrap it around and pin it on the side
3) very quick and simple

alright im bored with it, i dont like the youtube vids because most of them add all these scarf flowers and scarf braids, i think thats nice for a family gathering or something but not for everyday school/work

So help?? thanks for any advice sisters :)

Please i hope you're being sarcastic, i would never take off my hijab for a reason like that, or any reason really :/

I am proud to say I remember Imam Hassan (a.s.). Everyone cries for his brother yet they forget him. If you remember him to, add this to your signature.

I do the same! I wear the cotton under hat that I tie at the end.. so I get two colors, and it's perfect coz nothing moves out of place lool.. u can try doing two different hijabs together as layers.. I've seen few girls with the flower hijabs.. some looked cute, and others just looked funny :P I personally won't bother :P I just make sure the hijab itself is nice with cool colors :D

Totally? lool

Hijab is not only a piece of cloth, but a whole aure, even the way you carry yourself... It should express simplicity, harmony, piety and pureness. I understand that there is different styles and ways wearing it, but I don't think it should be a fashion thing, which it does when it contains festive colours, contains several layers of scarves (as if it's comfortable), looks like a camel's hump etc. and people afterall pays attention to you because of it. I just think it loses its value, just like when you wear make-up and tight clothes with it.

Keep it simple. As a true muslimah, you are beauty itself :)

We also call it somali khimar. Very comfortable and good covering hijab. Do you know somali 'abaya? The closed 'abaya that you can tie behind the neck. Also very comfortable and practical 'abaya. I used to wear it, but mostly in muharram..until my rabbit bit a hole in it.

Wrong, ALL GUYS (including me as well of course) find these stylish hijabs EXTREMELY attractive and arousing (any guy who says otherwise is either a liar or wears black shoes). It's just not right for women to tease us like this.

For further info, read post# 2 here:

http://www.shiachat....raying-at-home/

Agreed. I find these funky hijabs very attractive but not that Islamic. Girls know what they're doing when they wear them

To add 2 that, if u r getting lots of attention from guys while wearing hijab, either u r extremely beautiful, or most likely giving off a flirty vibe in behavior and appearance. I know a girl or 2 wears hijab and acts like a total.. *** ..guys sense it within seconds.
