(salam)

Prosecution of the thought crime continues in Malaysia......

As of March 27 2011, The Malaysian Shia (Syiah) community is told that their hearing on March 24th (delayed from March 22) is suspended yet again.

Quote

just minutes before the supposed hearing, that it was cancelled after all, without any reason and without any definite date for a rescheduled hearing, other than a vague "before the end of May".

The site also contains a map of Malaysia showing where the Shia (Syiah) community is currently living. Going to court is not a simple process ….

Quote

The conduct of the prosecutor is too inconsiderate for words to describe. Imagine the anxiety and cost involved, for people to have to hastily take time off work, prepare for their elderly parents' and young children's care in their absence, as well as for the journey to the sharia court far away.  Some of them are too poor to own cars and have to book overnight bus tickets for the journey.  See the map to get an idea of the distance they had to travel to respond to this last-minute announcement.

The Malaysian Shia (Syiah) community pleads the prosecutor and JAIS (Selangor Religious Authority/Department) to be more considerate of the hardships of the people that they are intending to prosecute

Salam.

They wanted us to be "dihapuskan" and "ajaran sesat" in this Malay article:

http://www.hmetro.co...icle/index_html

"10 ajaran sesat masih aktif
Oleh Hayati Ibrahim
ya_t@hmetro.com.my

The above-mentioned groups are among the 95 groups that have been declared (fatwas) deviant. They are deviated from Islam and the teaching of Sunnah wal-Jamaah based on fatwas from the National Fatwa Council/Majlis at the state level or national level (Note: These are stupid religious organizations infected by the Wahhabis/Salafi) in the past 20 years.

While exposing this matter, the Director of JAKIM (this is an acronym of an Islamic organization) said, all the above groups need to be destroyed as soon as possible by religious authority in every state in Malaysia.

These are exact quotes spoken by him:

“We are viewing this subject very seriously because it affects belief of Muslims. Furthermore, this can also cause disruption/animosity in the nation/society”.

“The ten groups listed above will be prioritized to be annihilate/destroyed to avoid it being spread in Malaysia”

Othman said that his organization with the cooperation from religious authority in every state is investigating/carrying out surveillance on those who are spreading new ideologies such as pluralism and extremism by “using” students and professors/lecturers in institution of higher learning/education in Malaysia.

According to him, these faiths are destroying Muslim belief and are also inviting other problems such as religious riot and civil war.

But, we faced a number of problems while handling these problems, such as, non-uniformity of Islamic laws/Sharia laws at the state level and also misunderstanding among the Muslims about Tariqa (sect/group?) and Tassawuf (Sufism/Mysticism).

"This situation is forcing us to ask the National Fatwa Council and States Fatwa Organization to do a research and make a conclusive/uniform decision about groups that were declared haram/disallowed for being deviant."

The correct thing to do is not to provoke the Malaysian authorities, but to endure with patience. And publicize this news as far as possible. Malaysians will soon be shamed into relenting, and will release the arrested people Insha Allah.

Malaysian authorities have broken up a mass gathering of Shia Muslims and detained at least four in the latest discriminatory action against the religious community.

Religious Department officers accompanied by at least 20 security forces attacked a gathering which was held to celebrate the birthday anniversary of the daughter of the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), Fatemeh (pbuh), on Tuesday, AFP said.

“We were having lunch… with 200 people, many of whom are non-Muslims, to celebrate the birthday, when our premises were raided,” Wahab Omar, a Shia community leader said.

Prominent Malaysian Shia leader Kamil Zuhairi Abdul Aziz and three other followers were arrested by Malaysian security forces.

Kamil Zuhairi had previously blamed government officials for systematically violating the basic rights of Shias in the predominantly Sunni Muslim nation.

Last December, over 200 Muslim Shias, including Iranian, Indonesian and Pakistani nationals, were arrested at a mourning ceremony for the third Shia Imam and the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Imam Hussein (pbuh), who was martyred in Karbala, Iraq, over 1,300 years ago.

Some of those detained were charged in a religious court and are awaiting trial.

The arrests come while according to Malaysian law Shia Muslims -- who make up more than one third of Muslims population worldwide -- are free to practice their religion, even though they are barred from promoting it.

"It was purely a social gathering and yet we continue to be harassed by religious authorities," Wahab said.

Meanwhile, reports from Malaysia indicate that parallel to a clampdown on Shia Muslims in the country, Saudi-based Wahhabi beliefs are being promoted in the southeast Asian nation.

Riyadh has reportedly transferred $80 billion fund to Malaysia for the task.

Shia Muslims account for the majority of the population in Azerbaijan, Iraq, Iran and Bahrain, and form significant communities in Afghanistan, Indonesia, India, Lebanon, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Factor: Latest Raid on Shia Gathering in Malaysia

Earlier this morning, the Justice for Malay Shia website posted an alert notifying of an ongoing raid against a Shia gathering commemorating the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her). A frantic text message sent out at 2.57PM local time cried out: ‘Happening now! Police, JAIS and local council are raiding a gathering remembering the birth of Lady Fatima Zahra (daughter of the Prophet Muhammad). Four arrested including Kamil Zuhairi Abd Aziz.’

Details about the raid still remain sketchy, but the events of the last few hours come on the heels of a notable upsurge in sectarian rhetoric against Shia Muslims in Malaysia. Ever since the December raid on the Hauzah Imam Ali ar-Ridha centre in Selangor province, the predicament on the ground has teetered on a knife’s edge. Subsequent to that raid, more than 120 members of the community were arrested and still await trial. The farcical nature of the allegations and trial has been further exposed by regular postponements to the dates of court proceedings.

Although there exist clear systemic flaws on the local Malaysian scene that allow for such instances of clear discrimination against Shia Muslims, the emergence of clear regional interference in the shape of intervention from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has served to further exacerbate the simmering crisis. Shortly after the December raid, the International Islamic University of Malaysia and the Islamic University of Medina signed a memorandum of understanding agreeing on the importance of safeguarding students from Shia Islam. The MoU also proceeded to urge strict measures against educators and lecturers who show a leniency towards Shiism.

In recent weeks, details of a sinister collusion between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia have come to the fore. On Sunday 15th May, the international secretary of the Democratic Action Party (DAP) Liew Chin Tong lifted the veil on a joint project between the two countries that would entail the dispatch of Malaysian troops to silence the pro-democracy movement in Bahrain. The Saudi regime has also embarked on similar schemes with Pakistan through the Bahria and Fauji foundations, with recruitment concentrated in the Baloch region which constitutes the historical breeding ground for anti-Shia terrorist organisations such as the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Jundullah.

Speaking about these developments, veteran journalist Amir Mateen noted: “All the religious parties have interests, economic and personal, with Saudi Arabia ... the religious parties, along with everyone else, have yet again been exposed when it comes to principled politics.” A former ambassador minced less into his words when he observed: “The Saudis have bought everyone on the religious right. And remember, they have that massive Madressah network in Pakistan. They (the Saudis) can create problems for any government in Pakistan.”

The recent provocations in Malaysia should be viewed within the wider context of a Saudi counter-revolution that is most apparent in Bahrain and Syria. The counter-revolution is premised on fomenting sectarian tensions in a bid to arrest the wave of change sweeping through the Muslim world. To this end, the Saudi Kingdom seeks to suppress the overwhelming spirit of unity and solidarity between Muslims. On its part, the United States has provided a silent nod of approval to the insidious sectarian agenda led by Saudi Arabia with obvious geopolitical stakes in mind, including the "security" of the Zionist state.

The raid earlier today has once again underlined the entanglement of grave legal and constitutional flaws on the local Malaysian scene – e.g. the prohibition of involvement in learning or propagating Shia Islam in provinces such as Selangor – and a sinister web of regional power-politics and connivance in aggravating the sorry fate of Shia Muslims.

It is eminently clear to observers and analysts that the Malaysian government needs to make a stark choice in the face of these unsustainable escalatory developments. The government can either choose to provide recognition and basic freedoms to Malay Shias as it does with all other religious denominations, or instead persist with its archaic approach, thereby pulling the mask on the façade of a tolerant, open and democratic image. The free peoples of the world and more particularly the oppressed Islamic Ummah hope that the leadership in Malaysia rise up to their responsibilities and select the right choice.

Shiite group decries persecution

PETALING JAYA: A local Shiite organisation has denounced yesterday’s raid of a social gathering and bemoaned the official discrimination that adherents of the faith are subject to in Malaysia.

“This is something both shocking and inappropriate,” Ar-Ridha director Mohd Kamilzuhairi Abdul Aziz said of the raid in Taman Sri Gombak and the arrest of four people at the gathering, which was to celebrate the birthday of Fatimah az-Zahra, a daughter of the Prophet Muhammad.

He said in a press statement that the gathering had permission from the Selayang Municipal Council, the Home Ministry and the police.

Kamilzuhairi was one of the four arrested yesterday and released on bail. They have been told to appear at the Gombak Timor Lower Syariah Court in Kuang on June 7.

Selangor Islamic Department (Jais) officers carried out the raid with the assistance of 20 policemen. Kamilzuhairi said the gathering was having lunch. Among the guests were representatives of other religious groups.

Speaking to FMT, Kamilzuhairi said Jais accused him of defying a fatwa banning the preaching of Shiism.

“I asked Jais: When was I in the business of spreading Shiism? This is not right,” he said.

Kamilzuhairi also condemned what he said was an ongoing discrimination against Malaysia’s Shiite community. He said Malaysian Shiites numbered about 100,000.

Yesterday’s raid was the second against Shiites since last December, when more than 200 people, including foreign nationals, were arrested at a ceremony to commemorate the martyrdom of Hussein, a grandson of the Prophet.

Kamilzuhairi asked why the religious authorities were intent on pitting Sunnis against Shiites when they believed in the same God.

“We have our differences, but Allah is the same,” he said.

He said Jais’s raid went against the constitutional guarantee of religious freedom.

I seconded your suggestion. Iran should not give any lucrative deal to Malaysia unless and until they (Malaysia) change their anti-Shia stance.

We have more bad news from Malaysia. A few more Shias were arrested a week ago. This time the authority arrested us for celebrating the birth-date of Sayyida Fatima az-Zahra, Prophet's beloved daughter. We are also awaiting the trial to commence in July for gathering illegally to remember the martyrdom of the Grandson of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

It's an unfortunate occurrence, that the distant Muslim countries from the Middle East have no choice but to rely on Saudi funding and sponsorship.

They have not yet adopted independent stances, but hopefully that will change soon.

Salam. Latest on this just to keep things fresh in your minds. Everybody  is saying that Malaysia is a progressive Islamic country? Hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..

In one sentence, we the shiahs are likened to drug dealers and diseases!!!! (Please look at the last 3 lines of this article..)

http://www.themalays...erlu-dibendung/

Pegawai Jakim: Wahabi dan Syiah sumber ancaman utama, perlu dibendung
Oleh G Manimaran
July 31, 2011

Brother, by the way, why don't you compose a presentable e-mail with all this information and send it to the "Wali Amr lil Muslimeen" office (S. A. Khamenai's office)? He has a website and all. 99% chances are that it won't change a thing (I wrote a similar mail about conditions in Pakistan and asked for his guidance but no reply), but still anyway, maybe he will reply to yours or even take some diplomatic action. Who knows.

As for me, from today onwards all Malaysian products and services by Malaysian based companies are haram. I will make sure that no one I know uses them, and God willing I will try my best to help make them go bankrupt and return to their cesspool of a country.

Bad news. :(

A judge in Malaysia decided to rule in favor of a politician. The politician, Muhammad Khusrin, who was the director of JAIS, was sued by the Malaysian Shia for Slander.

I don't really know if the judge is corrupt or incompetent, but his reasoning is extremely flawed. According to the judge (Singham), and I am translating verbatim

The Judge decided that the statement uttered by then director of the religious department on December 2010, which was published in the newspaper 'Utusan Malaysia' on December 17, was not referring directly to any individual. The statement is only referring to a group of Shia. The judge continued by saying that the statement never mentioned the plaintiff or any Shia.

And to add salt to injury, the judge said "The plaintiff only imagined that the statement is referring to himself".

I still don't know if the judge was bribed or not. Maybe he is sincere but very incompetent. This should have been an easy victory for the Malaysian Shia because the politician who was sued for slander and libel, made his slanderous remark on camera on national tv, after he arrested the plaintiff and 200 other Shias for being deviant on the December of last year. Here are the videos of the arrest.

These are some of the remarks made by the politician (who was then the director of the organization) who arrested the Shias of Malaysia for being deviant:

From the very beginning the chances of winning were slim. Would the judge dare give a ruling not in favour of a public servant like Khusrin (the JAIS director at the time of the raid)?

Another sad news,.. the appeal has also been rejected a few days ago. You can read more here:

Ever since the raid on the "Hawzah ArRidha" in Muharram (Dec 2010) there has been so much fitna against the shias. REcently a documentary was shown on TV1, a govt-controlled channel. With the shia brothers having no access to the mainstream media there, they have resorted to the internet,, this is one of the videos uploaded by them to answer the fitna:

The propaganda continues with a Friday khutbah issued by JAKIM (Department for the advancement of Islam) on 9th March 2012. The khutbah was telecast live on TV and radio... some mosques in Kuala Lumpur might have read the same text.

the full text of the khutbah entitled "Threat to the faith of Muslims" can be found at http://www2.islam.go...idah-umat-islam
or http://www.masjidneg...&catid=1:latest.

Naqshbandiyya Khalidiyya order and Tarekat Naqshbandiyya Aliyya Haqqaniyya are also considered to be out of fold of Islam? What the hell?

Katanya, fahaman seumpama itu bukan saja merosakkan akidah umat Islam, tetapi turut mengundang pelbagai masalah lain seperti rusuhan agama dan perang saudara.
Now, who is trying to cause a fight?

Yeah, Gypsy is right. Malaysia is really turning into a Wahhabi country. And JAKIM is really trying to annihilate us.

Shiism is in top 3 of those deviated sects being monitored by the Malaysian religious authorities.

- "shias do not recognise the sahaba", "do not follow the practices of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.". "believe that Jibril sent the wahy to the wrong person"...

However, the "national fatwa committee allows the less extreme verison of shiism i.e. zaidi and ja'fari"

KDN haram tiga buku canggah Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah

March 20, 2012
