Born Shia Muslim

was unknown to my religion till my teenage ended. when i saw my fellow brothers being killed beheaded, abused by others, suicide bombing on shia. it forced me to search for truth. then i found i was blessed by Allah to be born in Shia family . what will be my faith without the love for the opressed Ahle Bayt ? i cant imagine life without grief for Ahle Bayt. thats the only thing which keeps me Human when i think of the opression done on them, the minor problems i face in my life looks nothing to me .

Love for Ahle Bayt keeps me Muslim

(salam)

Born Sunni, became Imami two years ago, and Allah will decide who of us are the Shi`a.

Stupid question. What is the difference between Imami and 12ers?
Contentment is the capital which will never diminish. Imam Ali (AS)

Muhammad al-Baqir said: On the Day of Resurrection, a pavilion of fire will be made in which the supporters of the oppressors will be put, and nails of iron will be made for them scratching with it beginning with their hearts. So they will say: Our Lord, did we not worship You? He said: So He will say: Yea, however you were supporters for the oppressors.

Against all secular Ba`athi tyrants - yes, that includes Bashar and his father.

Stupid question. What is the difference between Imami and 12ers?

12ers is the more commonly used name.
Imami/Jafari is the more official name.
Rafidhi is the preferred name.

@ Haider Hussain:

Can you please help me with the reference for the hadith you stated below?

Sorry, this is a bit late, but the reference is Shaykh Saduq's Sifat ush-Shia, Hadith 22.
And they serve beside Allah what can neither harm them nor profit them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Do you (presume to) inform Allah of what He knows not in the heavens and the earth? Glory be to Him, and supremely exalted is He above what they set up (with Him). [Qur'an 10:18, Shakir translation]

Now, surely, sincere obedience is due to Allah (alone) and (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, (saying), We do not serve them save that they may make us nearer to Allah, surely Allah will judge between them in that in which they differ; surely Allah does not guide him aright who is a liar, ungrateful. [Qur'an 39:3, Shakir translation]

Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì doesn't decide who are Shia, we do. He ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì decides who are the Monafiqs (hypocrites) and who are the Mu'mins (believers). And towards my understanding, anyone who believes in Waliyat Ali is a Shi'ite.
And Alhamulilah you joined the winning team.

believing in the wilaya of Amirul mumineen is the entire faith. the whole religion of Islam was completed and perfected by the wilaya of imam Ali. So, since this is the way of God, It's only Allah who guide people towards it. we did not do anything to deserve to enter this religion it was purely by His mercy (S.W.T) that we are Muslims who submit to His laws and accepted the authority of His chosen leaders... Imami is a term given to someone who believes in the 12 imams of Ahlulbayt but a 'shia' which is a shortened term given to the followers and supporters of imam Ali ibn Abitalib is another thing. believing in Wilaya alone doesn't make you a shia. the whole world might call you one but if you're not near that by actions and yaqeen then sorry but you're not one. we call ourselves a shia but we are no way near that. we are in a process of becoming one inshaAllah. only Allah gives the tawfeq to whoever He wills and write their names in the book of our imam Mahdi (aj). to say Allah doesn't decide who's shia or not is wrong.

Make a thread about it in the General Discussion forum or the Islamic Laws and Jurisprudence forum, and I'm sure someone will be willing to help.
