(bismillah)
(salam)

I was reading a book called Rasoolollah: The Messenger of Allah when I stumbled across this outstanding hadith.

Prophet Mohammad  (pbuh)  once said:
"Allah has indeed put for my brother Ameerol Mo'meneen countless virtues and merits; whoever reads one of them acknowledging it, Allah will forgive all his past and future sins; and whoever writes one of them, the angles would continously ask Allah to forgive his sins for as long as his writing remains; and whoever listens to one of them Allah will forgive all the sins he had committed by his ears; and whoever watching a writing of Ameerol Mo'meneen's merits, Allah will forgive the sins he had commited by his eyes."

!للهم صلي على محمد وأله محمد

Look at how great Imam Ali  (as) is. Look at how much we should respect him.

No matter how much I describe him, it isn't enough. It is impossible to  even start describing how great he is!

I hope reading this has benefited you.

Ramadan Kareem  :)

I remember a poet saying:

"If Ali (as) is this great, imagine the Lord of Ali (as) when Ali is only His slave"
"Verily they behold it afar off, While I behold it nigh"
- Never in history has there been a battle of 72 vs 30,000 and none of the 72 have joined the 30,000 but the 30,000 have joined the 72 with the exclusion of Karbala
- My God, Thy Protection, Thy Protection: On the day when man shall see what his hands have sent before him, and the disbelievers shall say, "Would that I were dust" [78:40]

There's a similar one to that I've heard:
"They say Ali ibn Abi Talib Posted Image is God. But how great a God must we have if Ali Posted Image  is just a slave."

i don't know if this is true or not, in His infinite mercy, Allah may have granted us this gift, however, this is the problem with our school of thought, we need to stop going around giving each other these 'get out of jail free' cards, we need to promote living like the holy prophet and imams (PBUT), because there are many people out there, who as a result of these types of saying don't pray, don't fast, don't pay zakat, let alone khums, basically they are muslim when it comes to eid or more specifically when it comes to mourning the death of an imam. but the rest of the year....nothing,but in their hearts and minds its fine because

i don't get it, crying for Imam Hussain (as) without taking to heart the lessons, crying to cry is hypocricy, every hypocricy is shirk
if Allah (swt) blesses me with a wife and children, i shall try my best to keep these types of sayings away from them, imam Ali (as)'s wisdom is such a wonderfull thing, learning and sharing it is its own reward, implementing into ones live is surely the road to true piety

I beleive the hadith is pointing out sins. If someone is not doing what is wajib, that's a whole different story. I doubt the hadith is refering to people who often sin then use the merits of Imam Ali to bail themselves out.

thank you, someone who reads between the lines, i hope more people view things this way, the thing that always comes to my mind are the some of the final words attributed to Imam Sadiq (as)- "Verily, our intercession never reaches the one who takes prayers lightly." that says it all

(salam)

The Ahlul Bayt (a.) continue to sacrifice their lives to uphold Islam. A person who cannot respect that sacrifice by trying to live by Islam cannot receive intercession from them (a.). It's a failing on the part of those who ascribe to Shi'ism, to over emphasize love of Ahlul Bayt (a.) as a means to paradise while not truly knowing what that love is. But don't mistake these ahadith as a free pass. These are only for those who practice their religion, just like Imam Ja'far As-Sadiq (a.) said, for those who take their salaat seriously. For these people, if they make mistakes and sin now and again, Allah makes ways for them to receive His mercy and expiate their sins. So you should share these ahadith with your family. They are important. People need to know that no matter what they do there is always a means for forgiveness. That way when they fall into sin they can see a way out. This is especially pertinent for young people who can be very hard on themselves and feel trapped by their deeds.

asaalam aklikum

i found this on an islamic website thought i will share with you on the subject of holy imam Ali ibn abu Talib asws

RasoolAllah (saw) said to Salman (as),
“O’Salman (as)! I swear by Allah, what I am about to say regarding Ali (asws)
was revealed unto Me ;
“O’ Ali (asws)! Through You the people will be tested”. I swear by Allah, Ali
(asws) is proof of Allah upon the people of the earth and heavens, and the
whole creation of Allah is dependent upon You.”
Then RasoolAllah (saw) said, “Momins will gain belief through You and kaffirs
will gain deviation through You. To Allah, none is more honorable than Ali
(asws). Ali (asws) is that tongue of Allah through whom Allah speaks. Ali
(asws) is the wrath of Allah and the blow of the wrath of Allah. Verily, Allah is
the blow of Allah. Allah mentions this in Quran, “And certainly We had warned
them of Our blow but they did doubt the warnings” (54:36). Verily Allah created
You through His commandment and separated You from His creation. He put
Your love in the hearts of momins. I swear by Allah, there are angels in the
heavens who can only be counted by Allah and who are constantly awaiting
the orders of Ali (asws). They remember Ali (asws) continuously. The people
of the heavens are proud of having gained the marifat of Ali (asws ) and they
gained the marifat of Allah through Your marifat, and they await Your orders
