- Never in history has there been a battle of 72 vs 30,000 and none of the 72 have joined the 30,000 but the 30,000 have joined the 72 with the exclusion of Karbala
- My God, Thy Protection, Thy Protection: On the day when man shall see what his hands have sent before him, and the disbelievers shall say, "Would that I were dust" [78:40]

Now, surely, sincere obedience is due to Allah (alone) and (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, (saying), We do not serve them save that they may make us nearer to Allah, surely Allah will judge between them in that in which they differ; surely Allah does not guide him aright who is a liar, ungrateful. [Qur'an 39:3, Shakir translation]

I Hate, Because I Love.
Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz from Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following:
"I asked abu 'Abd Allah, recipient of divine supreme covenant, 'Are love and hate part of belief?' The Imam asked, 'Is belief anything but love and hate?'

Amongst the many threads on this:
Earrings: http://www.shiachat....g-haram-formen/
Tattoos: http://www.shiachat....oo/page__st__25
I'm do not support these things, but if you are going to say it's against Islam, you better have some proof.

I don't need to have proof becuase it is obvious to all that it is haram. earrings is not a masculine thing neither is shaping or slitting the eyebrows so dont dictate to me that I need proof. its almost like you got so offended. an earring wearer yourself are you?

Alhamdulilah
We shouldn't try to be like the ignorant people... what sort of example would we be setting?
These people goto clubs and get drunk and have sex with strangers... I don't want to wear baggy pants like them or cut my eyebrows or get piercings and tattooes... it's not cool, it's not nice, there's nothing good to come from it.
Just be yourself, don't try to blend in with others, don't try to style yourself, just be natural and clean, that's the best for everyone.
And you will have the most confidence this way, when you are content and happy with yourself without modification, then you will have the highest self-esteem and people will find you very friendly and nice to be around.
Otherwise, you would be a poser! lol
Just ask yourself seriously, what is the point of all of this fashion and nonsense? You going to cut your eyebrows and wear baggy pants when you're 80 years old and say "Yo sup dog?" lol
I prefer the love and respect of Muhammad(sawws) and his Ahlul Bayt(a) and the true believers and Allah before the love/respect of misguided people. We are meant to be a beacon of light in the darkness for people, we are known by our kind deeds, polite behaviour, and soft speech... that is Islam bro, that is how people come to Islam...
Hopefully someone benefits from reading this.
Have you seen those who lie about religion?
Those who take advantage of the orphan, And those who do not feed the needy.
Disaster will fall on those who pray, Whose prayers are empty.
Those who make show, And withhold from helping others.
The Holy Qur'an, Surat Al-Ma'un

tatoos do NOT block waaduu, ur not colouring ur skin with cryons so its not like nail polish, infact the regular colour of tatoos is given out by the blood sitting the third layer of skin the innermost, then they inject dyes to that layer also for creativity. so doesn't block the water from reaching outermost layer of skin!
its considerd a sin to say haram when its not, i remember the sura that talks about bano israel in al3umran

maybe tatoos do not block your wudhu, but they are considered haram becuase they mutliate your skin and are painful. this is what the westerners like to do and it seems that some muslims like to do this. tatoos are unsightly and i do not think it is permissible to have ink drawn all over your body.

Brother, I doubt very much if many muslims like or approve of tatoos, but I think the point people are trying to make is that we are not allowed to pass judgements on what is halal or haram based on our personal opinion. For you to insist on tatoos being haram the way you are, would need to be backed up by more than personal opinion. Aside from tatoos and ear rings, I hate men who die their hair stupid colours, but that doesn't mean I am allowed to go round saying that because Allah didn't creat men with green or pink hair, its haram.

Muhammad al-Baqir said: On the Day of Resurrection, a pavilion of fire will be made in which the supporters of the oppressors will be put, and nails of iron will be made for them scratching with it beginning with their hearts. So they will say: Our Lord, did we not worship You? He said: So He will say: Yea, however you were supporters for the oppressors.
