(salam)

A reminder to all brothers and sisters, Muslim and non-Muslim, religious and non-religious, that peace is preferred to war, kindness preferred to insult, soft preferred to harsh, patience preferred to tempered, repentance preferred to arrogance, humility preferred to pride, love preferred to hate, wisdom preferred to ignorance, unity preferred to division, calm preferred to violent, sharing preferred to greed, logic preferred to irrationality... No one in the world will disagree, and Islam is no exception.  May Allah never allow us to forget these truths and guide us to implementing them in our lives, ameen.

Infinite Mercy of Allah - lecture by Hassanain Rajabali
Please watch this video... it is very important for every person to listen to, regardless of religion or beliefs... JazakAllah

There is no empirical 100% proof one way or another, to be Muslim or Sunni or Shia, if it were that simple, then there would not be any sects or religions or difference of opinion.

Difference of opinion is natural, in fact it is the Will of Allah azzawajal:

And if Allah had (so) decided, indeed He would have made you one nation; but He leads into error whomever He decides to, and He guides whomever He decides to; and indeed you will definitely be questioned about whatever you were doing. (16:93)

O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another... (49:13)

So how can we sit and fight each other? Lol Shaytan is so clever, audhubilahi minaysh shaytani Rajeem...

It is literally as if a Sunni and a Shi'a are sitting together, or a Christian and an Atheist are sitting together, and Shaytan, or evil thoughts, whispers into their ears, and makes them punch and argue with each other.... Shaytan falls over laughing and both become wrong-doers.

Na'audhubilahi.

So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. But pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good. (5:13)

GOD does not like the utterance of bad language, unless one is treated with gross injustice. GOD is Hearer, Knower. [4:148]

Do not curse the idols they set up beside GOD, lest they blaspheme and curse GOD, out of ignorance… [6:108]

…And when the ignorant speak to them [the believers], they only utter peace. [25:63]

Walk humbly and lower your voice - the ugliest voice is the donkey's voice. [31:19]

Not equal are the good response and the bad response. You shall resort to the nicest possible response. Thus, the one who used to be your enemy, may become your best friend. [41:34]

Do not argue with the people of the scripture (Jews, Christians, and Muslims) except in the nicest possible manner - unless they transgress - and say, "We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you, and our god and your god is one and the same; to Him we are submitters."[29:46]

You shall invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and kind enlightenment, and debate with them in the best possible manner. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best who are the guided ones.[16:125]

And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah , so will you not reason? (6:32)

And tell My servants to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan induces [dissension] among them. Indeed Satan is ever, to mankind, a clear enemy. (17:53)

Insha'Allah everyone will read these ayat, believe them, submit to their Haqq, and implement them with Hikmah, ameen.

Those who take advantage of the orphan, And those who do not feed the needy.
Disaster will fall on those who pray, Whose prayers are empty.
Those who make show, And withhold from helping others.

Thanks for your advice. The points that you mentioned seem to be simple but unfortunately most of us don't apply them in our real lives. Thanks for the reminder anyway.

assalamu^Alaykum

very nice first post except i just wanted to say that there is conclusive proof about Islaam. It is easy to prove the existance of God and the existance of Prophets and by extension that Prophet Muhammad was a Prophet and then therefore accepting all he came with proves Islaam. Had it not been so obvious then would the consequence of rejecting it have been so severe?

Indeed, however otherwise it was a very pleasant address to all people

You didn't offend anyone, I'm sure.

Thank you for the reminder.  I'm aware of that already though, but the reason I don't say it is when I'm quoting in English.  If I quote in Arabic then I say it, but in English I don't usually, which is what most scholars do as well.

hahah yeah I remember

I learn quickly when I want to.  I prefer listening to lectures personally, and I think if anyone listens to that whole list of videos and they're sincere and open-minded that they'll want to be a Muslim and follow the wisdom of Muhammad(sawws) and Ahlul-Bayt(a) insha'Allah
