Thank you all for the kind comments.
"If you are intelligent, then you should be of firm resolution and sincere intention before you set out for any place, for surely the self's nature is to overstep the bounds and encroach on the forbidden. You should reflect when you walk, and take note of the wonders of Allah (SWT)'s work wherever you go."
Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq AS, in LANTERN OF THE PATH, section 4 On Walking. e-book: http://www.al-islam....rn-of-the-path/
Thx for this post I never came across this hadith before it really made me think it has a lot of deep meanings.

Some of you will remember the hummingbird nest web cam that I posted back on page 3 of this topic. I fell in love with the hummingbird named Phoebe.
Just yesterday I saw a web cam for an eagle pair in Decorah, Iowa. Two chicks were hatched and one egg was hatching. You could see like three holes in the egg where the chick was trying to get out. Last night the mother eagle sat on the nest all night long. I do not know how she slept, because there was the sound of the wind, the sound of the river, and car traffic off and on. Also wild animals, like coyote or wolf were howling. I heard owls and turkeys. It was an amazing thing. The mama eagle never ate any of the food for the babies. She fed the babies at least once, I was asleep and didn't see it all.
In the time for fajr I woke up and then I saw she woke up and fed the babies and sat down over them and slept. After I prayed and made du'aas I typed the words sunrise decorah iowa in the google search box to find out when the sunrise is for Decorah, Iowa today. It was 6:49 am. I imagined this will be the time the father comes back to take his turn with the babies. So I watched the nest and you won't believe me when I say that at exactly 6:49 am the mother eagle woke up and looked all around and I thought what did she hear? Then suddenly the father eagle flew into the nest! From all the birds flying in the area, she recognized the sound of his wings. The mother gently got up and walked to the side of the nest and flew away. SubhanAllah! So she left and the father walked over to the babies and I saw the third chick was out of the egg and moving around! The chick hatched sometime before sunrise. So daddy eagle is feeding the baby chicks and sitting on them while they sleep.
I wish there were not any commercials, but if you want to watch the web cam, you have a commercial when you turn it on. I think every thirty minutes there is a short commercial. Here is the link if you want to see the Decorah Eagles: http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles
The meat in the nest today is fish.
