Friends: My 7th grader cousin is pestering me to write a 2-3 minutes speech on this topic and she wants it done by tomorrow. Gimme some suggestions what to include.
How do you write like a kid in grade/class 7?

Thanks a bunch.

Well having someone write your assignment and claiming the work as your own is a lie - and maybe he/she sees this for academic "survival" - perhaps "he/she" could speak about the widespread need for plagerism and how it is rationalized or justified in todays competitive world. and is occuring earlier and earlier in our academic lives.  :squeez:

Don't write anything, but suggest some bullet points to touch on. Your cousin needs to learn how to stitch ideas together.
Examples of some situations where lying is forgivable, or even virtuous:
1. To protect a life: "No, Mr. SS Officer. There are no Jews in my attic."
2. Marital harmony: "No, dear, you absolutely do not look fat in that dress. And dinner was delicious."
3. Intelligence and military matters, to protect the lives of civilians, troops, and mission objectives. Misdirection. Counter-intelligence.

-To protect your life and all the members of your family you can lie about which sect/religion/or group you belong to if you lived under a tyrant like Saddam Hussein.
-If you're running from a country in constant war and terror, where you already lost your wife and your siblings during a bomb explosion,  to a safe country where you can guarantee the safely of your children at least you can lie to get into a safe country and seek refugee. (I'm not sure how your cousin's teacher will react to this lie).

it is good to give ur cousin ideas, but she needs to do her own homework and u shouldnt write the speech 4 her
Imam Husain (A) replied to a man who said, ‘Sit down so we can debate about religion’ – ‘I am aware of my religion, and my path is clear for me. So, if you are ignorant about your religion then go and seek it. What do I have to do with disputation? Indeed the devil tempts a person and calls him, saying, ‘Debate with people regarding their religion so that they do not think of you as incapable and ignorant.’ - Bihar al-Anwar

LOL Maryam. That would be so amusingly ironic. :Hijabi:

I know! That's what I told her but she has threatened that she wouldn't serve me tea the next time I visit her. She has telephoned me a few minutes ago to check if I am writing. :squeez:

Thanks a lot for your help, Calm and kadhim. Those are good ideas. And yeah, I will only feed her points. She has to write the piece herself. Making her do her own work is worth risking some cups of tea LOL.

Liying is haram, your cousin should be taught that.

Best of luck:)
