In order to raise public awareness and be more transparent, ShiaChat moderating staff will, henceforth, now communicate the reasons when a user account is banned.

With this step, our intention is not to humiliate or launch an offensive attack against any individual but to keep the system open and unambiguous, with regards to the reasons which warranted a ban for a user. It may also serve as a warning to others.

ShiaChat user Abdul-Rahman Brent was banned on 11/07/09 for the following reasons

i) Insulting other members (multiple occasions)
ii) Creating multiple accounts while in suspension
iii) Insulting marja e taqlid
iv) Cursing the three caliphs (multiple occasions)

Banned member Naziri (aka Three Temples Kung Fu and a number of other accounts) banned under his latest accounts.  enemy_of_the_oppressor (listing his religion as Islam Shia) and Isawiyyah (listing his religion as Judaism).  Micah, do you think we're idiots that we wouldn't catch on when you're _that_ obvious?

alial1234 and his other accounts (dove987, mkm454) banned.  Multiple violations which were explained to him.  And no folks, creating threads to complain about it and PMing/profile commenting mods to try to get it changed when you're under mod preview is _not_ a good way to get off of it.

Khamanei_Rahbar and The Ultimate (appeared to be the same person) banned.  Continually posting links to a certain forum after being warned not to.  We also don't take kindly to pretending to be something (hardcore WF supporter) when you're really the opposite trying to stir up trouble.

Newbie and Moslem-Ibn-Aqeel.  Both previously banned under other accounts.  Rules are rules folks, banning means banning.  Not create another account and go at it again.
