(bismillah)

(salam)

I'm having some trouble finding good Islamic wedding music for an upcoming event. It can be Arabic, English, or Urdu. Any suggestions and/or download links would be highly appreciated!

Thank you!! The first hamd is great--will definitely consider that one. I reallyy like the last one too and I listen to it in my car all the time! But I'm not sure if it'll be appropriate for the background of a wedding website. Ali ke Saath hai Zehra ki shaadi is more appropriate, so I was searching for more qasidas like that one.

I always thought this would be a sweet partner to 'Ali Ke Saath'...
Aaj Zahra ki Shaadi Rachi Hai:

Also lovely for a wedding...
Laate hai Murtuza ki Baraat Murtazayi:
Zahra ki Rukhsati:

I don't know if this would make people uncomfortable; it's a very unique qasida...
Sehra Ali Akbar Ka:

Really beautiful MHM '09 qasida...
Aisay hotay hai Ali ke naukar:

Another recent gem by Meer bhai; I wish all manqabat/naat had this kind of subtle passion...
Ya Muhammad:

A few classic naats...
Ay Saba Mustafa se Keh Dena:
Faaslon ko Takalluf: (my favorite!!)
Me to Panjetan ka Ghulam Hoon:

Always a jewel for Shi'a gatherings...
Allah Mujhe Lashkar-e Mahdi se Milaade:

This one's a bit off-topic, but it fills my heart with joy every time; I could see it working for a hardcore Shi'a guestlist...

Maybe not ideal for a wedding, but these two are sooo sooo sooooooo beautiful... The first is my absolute favorite of the year.

Mandate,Munqabat is a qawwali or sufi devotional song,in praise of the First Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib(as) but nowadays munqabat khwan don't restrict it only with Imam Ali(as)so you can easily find out munqabats in praise of other members of Ahlulbait(as) while Qasida is a word of Arabic origin and is a form of poetry from pre-Islamic Arabia. It typically runs 50 lines and sometimes 100.I hope you are sorted now.

I am sorted now and thank you very much for the feedback. So like kunday, manqabat is a cultural/regional devotional thing i guess.

I heard of Kunday for the first time some few weeks back where i believe there was a thread on the subject. I am not sure if the search feature is working or not so maybe you can perform a search. From what i gather, basically desi shia (south asian) go to each others house for maybe some devotional things. They probably recite some hymns and stuff and then eat some food (niyaz). The menu really looked awesome though.

I didnt notice any persians or arabs participating in that thread so i figure Kunday was a regional/cultural thing.
