Back in 2000 dozens of Iraqi families left to live in WA....Leaving Sydney for a deserted land doesnt make sense to me

well i live in perth and i would have to agree with the isolated part making no sense at all

It's a bit devoid of city type features as in a bustling center for commerce and population. The suburb seems like a far off village...yet i'd say Perth is peaceful alhamdolilah... and nearer to Asia (that's what counts)

i agree about the proximity to Asia....BUT been here for 2 years and still am confused as to why i am here.....but my case might be an exception since i did not like it from the very first day i landed......unfortunately for me i have been ok settling in other countries before just not australia

True, i just arrived to perth 7 months ago and it still feels a bit strange since i'm not really used to the culture and ways but i'm adapting to it... people say it will take atleast 2-3 years to completely settle out in Perth as its on the phase of development..inshaAllah... I used to live in an Asian country.. but coming here seemed to be really an outlook changer for me personally...but inshaAllah i hope adapting to it for anyone would be simpler soon.
