(salam)

Du'a an-Nudba which means a Supplication of Lamentation is one of the most authentic and important du'as and it has been narrated from Imam Mahdi (atfs) himself. This dua' should be recited every Friday morning. The translation available on www.duas.org isn't complete and totally correct and so I decided that it would be a good idea to make a thread and post links connected to it.

Allamah Muhammad Baqir Majlisi (r.a.) has quoted this Dua in 'Zaad-ul-Maad' from Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (a.s.). It is for the Imam of the time. And Muhammad bin Ali bin Abi Khura has quoted this dua from the book of Muhammad bin Husain bin Sufyan Bazoofari, from Imam-e-Asr. Apart from this, great Shia scholar Sayed Raziuddin bin Tawoos has mentioned it in his book, "Iqbal" on page no.295 to 299. Muhammad bin Jafar Mashadi Haeri has recorded it in book Al-Mazaan (Dua no.107). Qutb Rawandi in Al-Mazaar also records it and so does Allamah Majlisi in 'Zaad-ul-Maad' and 'Beeharul Anwaar'. Shaykh Abbas Qummi too has narrated it in his book, 'Mafatihul Janan'. ...continued here

Thank you for posting!

My favourite recitation of Dua-e-Nudba is by Agha Kafi [may Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì bless his soul]. I love the way he recites in a heartrending way.

فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا الْغَيْبُ لِلَّهِ فَانْتَظِرُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِرِينَ

Imam Mahdi(atfs) -Leader of Our time

Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) in one of his Tawqee (letter) has exhorted his followers:–“Pray more for my reappearance because in it is your salvation (Kamaaluddin, p.485, H.4) .Traditions have emphasized that one of the responsibilities of the followers during the era of occultation is to pray for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (atfs).

Ziarat Aal-e-Yaseen is another important Ziarat of Imam-e-Zaman(a.s.).
It is actually a Hadith Qudsi (direct saying of Allah(swt)) as reported in Mafatih-al-Jinnan. It is the first Ziarat in Mafatih about Imam-e-Zaman(a.s.) According to the traditions, "Aal-e-Yaseen" is equivalent to "Aal-e-Muhammad(pbuh&hf)" and is the correct pronunciation (Qira'at) of verse 37:130 of the Holy Quran. Beside its superb beauty, one of the interesting points about this Duaa is that, in it, we confess all the central beliefs one by one

There are many duas by Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him) on ‘www.duas.org’ (some with English translation).

I have contacted the aforementioned with regards to translating the remaining duas and they have said that they are looking for a translator (Arabic-English). They also said that they would be grateful if anyone could help in finding one.

If there is anyone who can translate these remaining duas or knows a translator willing to help then they should contact 'duas.org' via their website.

These remaining duas have not been translated for over a year and so help would be appreciated.

Thanks

PS Please let me know if anyone is interested.

No takers? Shiachat is full of posts in which people claim to be willing to do anything for the Imam (as). Well here is your chance to make a start.

The translation of these duas will make them accessible to countless people- myself included. So don’t be a ‘Kufan’ and give a helping hand- there must be someone who can help.

Salaam Brs, Srs

I just wanted to take the opportunity to strongly suggest this Dua:
http://www.duas.org/ahad.htm

"Imam Saadiq (a.s) narrates that “one who recites this supplication for 40 mornings; he will be accounted amongst the helpers of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s). And if he happens to die before the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s), Allah will raise him up from his rave so that he may assist the holy Imam (a.t.f.s).For every word that he recites in this supplication, Allah will grant him 1000 good deeds and will erase from his scroll of deeds 1000 sins”. "

Seriously, It takes maximum 10 minutes, but its as if while reading this Dua, you seriously are renewing your allegiance to the Imam (a.s). It's a great feeling ^_^

(there is also a really nice recitation of it on Youtube.. i cant pass the link right now however, as it is blocked :squeez: )

Anyways, Thankyou for your time

Wasalaam
Avarice is disgrace; cowardice is a defect; poverty often disables an intelligent man from arguing his case; a poor man is a stranger in his own town; misfortune and helplessness are calamities; patience is a kind of bravery; to sever attachments with the wicked world is the greatest wealth; and piety is the best weapon of defense.

See the following:

http://www.duas.org/...Mahdi/Index.htm
http://www.duas.org/...eximammehdi.htm

The first link features 'Sahifa Al-Mahdi'- a collection of 12 chapters, partially translated. The second, some more duas.

Someone has already offered to translate, if you want to help you can contact 'm14k'- a member of Shiachat.

Salam and thanks.

Salam.

Unfortunately, I have not managed to acquire the translation of the aforementioned duas. Therefore, if anyone can help, their help would be much appreciated. The links are as above.

The translation only requires the abilty to translate Arabic to English. I am sure that there are members of ShiaChat able to do this.

www.duas.org is willing to accept any reasonable attempts made to translate these duas.

There is quite a lot of material to be translated but every little helps.

Please let me know if anyone wants to help.

Thanks.

salaam
this may seem like a really stupid question but what does atfs stand for?
thanx :)

Wa Alaykum Salam,

It is an abbreviation of 'Ajalallaho ta'ala farajahum' (or in some cases 'Ajalallaho ta'ala farajahu sharif') which means May Allah, the Exalted hasten His Relief, the Noble/honourable.

فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا الْغَيْبُ لِلَّهِ فَانْتَظِرُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِرِينَ

Sorry for the late reply. Sahifa al Mahdi has already been translated into English. I don't have the book but my teacher does. I would have borrowed it but I have already borrowed 3-4 books so I am feeling too  to borrow one more. But if you want I will check the publisher for you if you are unable to find a copy.

Salam.

Thank you for your reponse.

I would like to note that I had a good look for a translated version prior to posting but could not find one. I am not aware of a book with all the Imam Mahdi (peace buh) duas featured on www.duas.org translated. If there is such a book I would be grateful for as many details as possible including its availabilty in the United Kingdom.

If such a book exists and you do manage to borrow a copy I would like to briefly borrow your borrowed copy provided you are local. Alternatively you could post/send me what you can of a translation and I could pass it on to duas.org.

If you cannot get hold of the book then a publisher would suffice for now.

Salam.

PS I would still like someone to translate the Imam Mahdi (peace buh) duas on www.duas.org so that everyone can benefit.

These guys has published the book in English. They are based in Bombay, India and I don't know where you can get their books from in the UK. Their contact info is present so you can contact them. It's not available online currently so you will have to buy the book.

Salam.

As far as I know know no hadith specifically says that it is to be recited on one specific day but considering that the day of Jumah is considered to be one of the four Eids, our ulema encourage recitation on this day as well as on all the other Eids.

Also Friday is considered as the best day to pray for Imam [atfs] for a number of reasons. They have been mentioned in Rabeeul Anaam Fi Adeea-e-Khairil Anaam by Abdul Hussain Taalei. If you are interested, I'll type the part about importance of Jumah for you.
