O Allah! Include me among those who will help him, assist him, rally round him, and will, in no time, carry out his commands; and strictly follow his directions, out of love and reverance for him, and will try to overtake one another to serve his purpose and will pronounce the profession of faith in his presence. Since I am a convert I started step by step with it when I was 23,but permanently when I was 24.I  wish I found islam earlier though. That I became muslim when I was teenager. My oldest daughter started when she was about 8,5 permanently, but used it sometimes before that to get used to it.F.ex in ramadan and stuff. She goes to a school where around 90%of the kids are muslims and so many wear it so nobody teases her for it.In her class only 2 girls are ethnic Norwegian. My daughter is Norwegian/Iranian.Probably the only Norwegian/Iranian girl in Norway with hijab hehe.Cause most of the Iranians who get kids with Norwegian women, they don't practice islam and the kids get Norwegian names(Fredrik,Henrik,Anders,Christine,Lisa,Marlen,Mia etc etc) and have christenings...

me and family are born moslem, but part of this type of the ignorant one. when i was 14, my mom juz started wearing heejab. and of course she was expecting me to do the same thing. she even pushed me pretty hard. i wasnt the type of person who can be pushed to do sumthing i dont understand (infact, i'm still this type till now  ). so i ran off my house for about hmm...2 days. then i came back to our house again, since my mom promised me that she will never push me again. but finaly, after struggling with myself... i wore heejab voluntarily when i was 15. ^_^

Asalyam Aleikum sisters!

I am wearing hijab about 3 weeks. I start it when i revert to Shia. When i came to Islam about 3 years ago, i become Sunni automatically  (Hanafi), cz all Central Asian countries and Turkey are Sunni.

I wish i started hijab since i am muslim.

No one knows from my family i  start wearing hijab, because i am abroad now. When i told them i am willing to , they try to stop me.. ( my mom and aunt are muslims , not wearing hijab ) ..
I knew i wont have any support from them.. I was even so upset,cz i am doing right thing and  no one supports me.:(
So i decide not to tell them for some time.. Once i wear hijab,i feel soo confident, now i feel like i did it all my life. :)

So grateful to Allah!

When Did U Start Wearing The Hijab

How do we WEAR a DISTANCE?

Everywhere I see hijab, or the concept of DISTANCE from na mehrams, being compared to measly objects made of fabric.  When will people learn to use proper expressions as it's much emphasized upon in Islam?

One doesn't WEAR A HIJAB - one OBSERVES hijab.

I think i was almost 14, on the Wilidat of Bibi Fatima (as). I didn't receive an amazing amount of support with it, except from my mother and her mother. I'm so happy that i put it on that day, because i never stopped observing hijab after it :)

Ramadan of 2007 I started wearing it. I'm 27.  A bit late in the game and with some familial struggle, but one of the best decisions I've made.
