^^^^^^^Did any of you girls party when they first start wearing the hijab?

In Iran thats what they do it in schools and thats what happened in my case. As for Suppli (my sis) when she turned nine, we where no longer in Iran, so we did a lil party for her in the mosque with some other girls here in Aussie land.

What did you guys do? How did u celebrate this? Any gifts?

^In London the Muslims are very isolated from the wider community, they keep themselves to themselves, so that's why its not as hard as it seems to wear hijab in the West.

I started at age about 8 - was on Eid day and I had just fasted for the whole of Ramadhan for the first time.

I started when I was 7 and a half...before that I used to beg and beg my mum to let me wear it mainly at school..so I was allowed to wear it at mosque and stuff..but when I was 7 and a half I started wearing it fully and LOVED it
Can't even imagine for a second stepping out without my hijaab!!!...SubhanAllah at our beautiful religion  ^_^

When I was 9. But I wasn't allowed to wear it at school permanently, only if I had a Music lesson (cause the teacher was a guy).

I had a dream that I was outside without hijab and in a dress. The feeling I had just after I woke up from that dream was one of the worst feeling's EVER. I felt so naked, so disgusting. I can't imagine taking off my hijab but then again my hijab now isn't exactly perfect.

Just because a girl/woman doesn't wear hijab it doesn't mean she's not pious or immodest and just because a woman wears hijab it doesn't mean she's a better muslimah. At the end of the day, it's only the intention that counts. For example, one sister told me a story that a woman didn't know how to pray. She only knew how to do ruku'. So she went out in the desert and even though she didn't know how to pray she just bowed down in ruku'. But since her intention was SO pure, even the trees in the desert (this was a special desert so it had trees as well) bowed down with her! We need to stop judging people, only Allah (swt) can judge.

since this is a hijab topic i hope this question isnt offtopic
What do you feel like when u wear the hijab? is it different from before when u didnt wear the hijab?
Does hijba make you more (feel) equal? Does it make you feel secure?

ps: dont be offended by these questions i just need the answer to understand how women feel like when they wear hijab.

when you wear hijab in the West , you feel the difference ,because you're unique
I feel protected and more respected sometimes.
Other times,People judge and don't respect ..not because they hate Islam..but they hate the people who represent it . Ex: Bad Muslims .
So when i wear hijab , i make sure I smile to everybody at the street, help the old people when they cross the street ,to represent Islam properly . Sometimes,Many sisters wear tight clothes, judge others ..and have a bad aklhaq , this is what gives islam a bad representation .May Allah guide them
