Shiachat.com brings together a breadth of individuals of all backgrounds and age groups to form an online community that forms and services a Shia identity across the internet. Since we are open to all, forums throughout the board cannot be extremely moderated as it risks marginalizing kind-natured individuals. This forum though, can.

'The Thinker's Discourse' was created for members who wish to start thought provoking and intellectual topics that will be strictly moderated by Shiachat's moderating team. The following guidelines apply:

• Topics about any subject matter may be started.
  
• Topics submitted won't become visible until approved by a moderator.
  
• Replies too won't become visible under a topic until approved by a moderator.
  
• Very short, off-topic or uninformative replies will not be approved.
  
• Once a thread is deemed to reach its conclusion, it will be moved to its appropriate forum category.
  
• Members may submit a request to a moderator to bring back any previously discussed topic in the forums. The moderator will then filter the thread for any unenlightening replies before moving the thread into this forum.
  
• Moderators reserve the right to change topic titles as to proficiently express the description of the topic.
  
• Topics will be moved to the main forums after a month of non-activity.
