(salam)

I'm gradually moving out of my shell - now more in thirst of expression than ever :)

I would post a prologue as soon as some readers post their prospect. However, please read on, and donot misinterpret the message. Love here is in its broadest dimension - the most purest amnesty ...
-----------

Peak of Charisma

immerse your soul into the ecstasy of love,
plunge forth and taste its sweetness,
drive through the alleys of your heart;
drunken with love - so pure and divine.

the peak of its charisma - unveiled,
exposing the angels' celebration,
as their whispers convey the blissful momento;
leaving you - blinded with the musk of love.

hasten your steps O ardent lover,
escort the angels to the holy site,
where their wings can reveal its charm;
and you - quench their burning thirst.

Rendering the scenario of their genuflection ...

Lord, hear their confession,
as they ease away the burden of their tears,
with every tear drop - blossoming the soil of Kerbala,
sweeping the dust from the zareeh with their wings.

this is where Hussain's headless body lays,
I narrated amid insuppressible sobs,
chanting an elegy - lamenting with words;
and they; clasping the golden pillars of zareeh.

their thirst elapsed through their vision,
and mine, grown more deeper,
its roots eating onto my flesh,
until the day, when I view the site of their tawaf...

Wsalam.
Is there a vacant space for my tears,
where I could let them speak for me?

(salam)

Prologue:

Imam Sadiq (A.S.) said: Allah has appionted to the grave of Imam Husain (A.S.), four thousand anguished and grief-stricken angels, who weep over him (and shall continue to do so) up to the Day of Judgment.

The haidth of Imam Sadiq (as) would be the main inspiration - with highlighted strokes of the verse from Surah Baqarah where He commands the angels to bow down to Adam. It is their reply which is somehow repeatedly echoing in my mind since scripting Allah's Trust. So this poem is a combination of two ideas nullifying one another.

----------------

immerse your soul into the ecstasy of love,
plunge forth and taste its sweetness,
drive through the alleys of your heart;
drunken with love - so pure and divine.

Ecstasy here refers to the Kingdom of love. And drunken is in reference to the vessel containing the potion of love.

the peak of its charisma - unveiled,
exposing the angels' celebration,
as their whispers convey the blissful momento;
leaving you - blinded with the musk of love.

Peak of charisma - the beauty unseen.
Angels' celebration - the day Adam was created.
blissful momento - bowing down to Adam - with little contradictory speech.
blinded - not physically, but spiritually.

hasten your steps O ardent lover,
escort the angels to the holy site,
where their wings can reveal its charm;
and you - quench their burning thirst.

Here, at this stage the poet is attempting to reveal the truth behind Allah's Wisdom. Had today no humans been created, then the world would have been deprived of personalities such as Prophet Muhammad (S) and in this case, Imam Hussain (as).

Quench their thirst - refering to the spiritual thirst which when flamed, kills man and even angels.

Lord, hear their confession,
as they ease away the burden of their tears,
with every tear drop - blossoming the soil of Kerbala,
sweeping the dust from the zareeh with their wings.

Here, the angels confess 'a mystic' event. It may be the zikr of 'Indeed You are the Wise One' refering to Allah - (I'm taking you back to the verse from Surah Baqarah, relating to man's creation ... ).

The latter part of the same stanza takes you back the original hadith quoted earlier.

this is where Hussain's headless body lays,
I narrated amid insuppressible sobs,
chanting an elegy - lamenting with words;
and they; clasping the golden pillars of zareeh.

Here is where I, as the narrator speak out the emotions. This part doesnot require much elaboration I presume ...

their thirst elapsed through their vision,
and mine, grown more deeper,
its roots eating onto my flesh,
until the day, when I view the site of their tawaf...

Their (the angels') thirst has now been quenched, for they've seen the reason of creation. And fortunately for them, they have even been permitted inhabition of the blessed shrine - and Kerbala. But my thirst has only grown fonder ...

Excellent.

It took me a few reads to fully understand it, as I'm still a beginner..but once I understood the message, it was powerful and compelling.

Keep writing more, especially in this style :)
Seek Knowledge from cradle to grave. ~Holy Prophet.

There is nothing more beloved to God than a youth who turns to Him. ~ Holy Prophet.

Peace: I would've preffered not to post it also ... just that I feel this was the first time I've collaborated multiple ideas into a single poem, so it would'nt be very easy to track down the various thoughts. Even then, I have left many blank spaces where the reader could trace down the 'mysterious' dialogue :)

soul in training: I'm pleased to hear that you liked it. I heeded to your advice, and hence the twosome ' Spent Youth on Me' and ' Kerbala's Sky ' ^_^
