Realplayer is probably the best downloading tool, it downloads any clip or video on any site, by just clicking on the tap on the right hand corner of the video/clip 'download video'. you can also convert it into any format with the new realplayer. completely free.

if you are using firefox, downloadhelper is a useful add on that downloads any video on the page you are on.
